First off, we want to thank each and every one of you who made it possible for us to live out this dream of being part of, and owning, a yoga studio community for so many years. Om Sweet Om Yoga has been a pillar of the Port Washington community for over 18 years. This time has been filled with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, but we wouldn't change anything for a second as it has allowed us to be immersed in the best community.
In March of 2020, when the world as we knew it took a sharp detour, we were so proud to be able to pivot toward something new, to teach ourselves video editing, and to get over our nerves of being on camera.

Amazing place and staff. They're conscientious about safety procedures and have a dedicated following, some of whom travel from other towns. Classes are either outside, on zoom (can replay), or small indoor classes in their huge serene studio with precautions: fresh air, air purifiers, and more than enough distance. There's something for everyone here, and every body, whatever your age or condition. Perfect antidote to pandemic stress and being hunched over from all our computer use.

Grace was very clear in her narrative--quite important in a virtual class--and her daughter demonstrated the positions beautifully. I found the class gently challenging, which is perfect for where I am right now (rehabbing a shoulder injury, and dealing with post-Covid19 joint issues) and it was very helpful in working out muscle kinks and soothing my aching knees.

I have been using Gail's Restorative yoga book for my own practice and also to teach Restorative yoga so I was very excited to be able to take an online class with her. Her teaching method was wonderful, and even though it was online, she was professional and punctual. I appreciated that she stayed "in the screen" the whole time so I felt like she was with us the whole time.
She used warmups which I honestly though wouldn't make any difference and I thought it would take time away from the poses but I was wrong, it made a huge difference I was blissed out during the class, there were enough poses including Savasana and the class ended on the hour. She knows her stuff : I highly recommend her class.

I love the sense of community in the studio. There are many regulars and there is a warm and welcoming mat extended towards newcomers as well. There is a variety of classes offered, ranging from power yoga to restorative yoga. Classes are also offered throughout the day, so there is an option for everyone! In this time of corona turmoil, Roopali has figured out a way to keep a sense of regularity in our days by offering live-streamed classes.
This is thoughtful and typical of the care which goes into every aspect of the studio, from the the beautiful clean facilities to the great people at the front desk and the caring and skilled instructors. Thanks for being my second Om!

This yoga studio hosts diverse styles from beginners to experts. It is a wonderful spot for couples (Wendy 11am Saturday) for emotional release (Gail Grossman) and for strength and flexibility (Deb Corsoto). It also has classes for men, teens and children. (Beth Lipset) and Thank you Roopali Gupta for all the wellness you bring to our community!

Discovered Om Sweet Om after much hunting for a place with experienced teachers and convenient hours. Low key-open minded -very well trained teachers in a cosy clean atmosphere. They Offer most yoga styles.workshops with renowned visiting teachers & weekend ashram trips. I always feel welcome & walk out refreshed. Cant ask for anything more. Highly recommend Om Sweet Om.

Did the FUNdementals class with Laura today. I really want to re-learn yoga with correct alignment (vs equinox in the city where it feels like it's more about banging through poses). Laura was very clear, very helpful. And the class was shockingly hard (to be sure I biked to practice so they also helped) but wow. Great class. I had Gail teach yesterday in restorative, and that was great too. Relaxing and great stretches. Looking forward to more classes

I love this yoga studio. There are many different teachers who all bring something unique to the class. Classes are usually 1 hr and 15 minutes. You have a variety of classes to choose from. There are great foundations classes for people just starting out like me and open classes which anyone can go to, intermediate and advanced classes are also offered.
Single classes as low as $20. I signed up for a year of classes which winds up being very very reasonable cause I go almost everyday now. Were open Christmas! Good vibes, clear instruction, clean studio, large rooms, supplies available.

Let me start off with the classes I have taken at Om have been fantastic. I have taken no issue with the teachers I have had, all of whom have been novice teachers teaching the Fundamentals Donation based class. I have suffered from anxiety in the past and yoga has always helped with it. I am currently unemployed which leads me to anxiety, I saw that Om had a donation class of "suggested" $5.
However I was rather abruptly and rudely told at the front desk that this was not a free class and I owed $5. Now, $5 may not seem like much and I willingly paid the $5 but the brusqueness of the demand that I pay seemed polar opposite of the whole notion of a donation based class so yoga is available to all. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Om after that encounter, there are other yoga studios who's community classes are just that, for the community and for all no matter what they can afford to contribute.

I love Om! From the warm, friendly, thoughtful front desk staff to the exceptional yoga teachers, every employee is wonderful. I cherish my unlimited membership because there are so many classes at various times. I was welcomed into several different types of yoga classes about which I knew little, therefore expanding my practice. In particular I recommend Jenny's prenatal, Beth's slow yoga, and Gina and Lauren's open classes.
I also love the items Gail offers in the store! My only complaint is that I once had a substitute for an "open" class who knew nothing about what to do with a pregnant attendee.
