Rikke is the founder of Blessing Acupuncture and has a comprehensive background in Western and Chinese Medicine. While she is trained in treating a variety of ailments, her true passions are infertility and women's health. As a fertility specialist, she treats patients wishing to enhance their natural reproductive potential, as well as couples undergoing assisted reproductive procedures such as IVF.
From the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, fertility is viewed as an extension of a well functioning organism. Inability to conceive is a sign that one or several body systems are not performing optimally, resulting in infertility. When imbalances are corrected with acupuncture and herbal treatment, health and fertility naturally improves.
Current medical research supports that which has been widely accepted in the East for centuries: Acupuncture effectively restores balance among the body's systems, promoting health and improving fertility. According to several studies, the subtle biochemical changes caused by acupuncture include stimulation of the circulatory system and balancing of the sympathetic nervous system.
Although the practice of Chinese Medicine is relatively new to the West, it has been used in Asia for more than 2000 years to treat a vast number of conditions. As I reflect on the care providers I am most grateful for, Rikke is at the top of the list. She helped me get pregnant, feel my best during pregnancy, and heal after pregnancy. The results exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be more grateful to her for her role in bringing my daughter into this world. Rikke was always compassionate, professional, and very knowledgeable.

As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable and was greeted warmly. Rikke has an amazingly healing presence. I didn't have any expectations going into our session but I was blown away with the results. I felt like a weight that had been pressing down on me for years was taken off. Until I experienced the healing of her practice I thought that always being in the rapid pace of fight or flight mode was the only way to get things done. After two miscarriages I came to her for help and I'm very happy that I did. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is. Do yourself a favor and book a session.

I started seeing Rikke about 2 years ago. She Has a welcoming office that is considerate to her patients. Personally Rikke is a kind and caring human being. I personally feel that Rikke has a genuine interest in helping me as her patient to achieve the relief I need in de stressing and managing pain. Rikke is amazing! She is such a caring and kind person. She really goes above and beyond to help in any way she can and I can't thank her enough for all she's done to help me with my chronic wrist pain. I went to her for help with my chronic pain, but she was able to help me with the chronic pain AND the emotional problems I was struggling with at the time. Rikke is a very good and knowledgable acupuncturist and Chinese medicine doctor. Rikke can speak and read Chinese fluently which makes it easy to explain certain Chinese medical terms with her that English simply does not translate. Rikke healed my chronic gut issues and explained and answered all my questions thoroughly. If you are suffering from chronic illness and all the meds don't seem to be that helpful, she may just be the solution for you. It is truly a blessing to have her in the Monterey peninsula.

Rikke is an absolute treat! I feel very fortunate to have found her. I was originally seeing Rikke for her help with my IVF journey. She makes me feel very confident in her methods and relaxed every time I see her. She's also very educated on the topic of fertility and is able to answer any questions I have. I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant with twins and I will continue to see her throughout my pregnancy. She was also able to address a shoulder issue that I was having, unrelated to IVF or my pregnancy.

Yup, I am peri-menopasal. I wrote a review many years ago when I went to Rikke for infertility. She was amazing! She helped get my cycles on track and with little chance of naturally conceiving, we did! I have a beautiful 4+ year old little girl. I attribute this blessing (pun intended) to Rikke and her amazing acupuncture and herbs. Now I am in my mid 40's and my "moods" were becoming an issue.
All the issues with sore breasts from hormone imbalances seemed to be back - with a vengeance! I called Rikke to help me with this new "phase" and I am SOOOO happy I did! After just a month of acupuncture and herbs, I felt back! My moods were not extreme and my body no longer hurt during different cycle periods. It has been 6+ months and I have a noticeable difference if I miss some sessions due to life demands. Rikke is highly recommended by this woman for all things female.

Wow where to start with the amazing Rikke. I can't recommend this woman enough. She not only helped me conceive my child after having an irregular cycle, but also is who I run to for ANY health concern. Acupuncture can heal/help so many issues so do not be afraid to just call and ask! She is honest and will tell you if she believes she can help you AND will stay on the phone explaining (in terms you can understand) exactly what is going on in your body.
I have never walked out of any doctor apt feeling as knowledgeable as I do after visiting Rikke. I am not only hooked on the medicine of acupuncture, but pray that Rikke will never be moving from this town! Thank you so much for everything Rikke! You are incredible!

Rikke Blessing is just that, a blessing! My husband and I tried to get pregnant for many years. I have no doubt that my fertility acupuncture treatments with Rikke was instrumental in helping us to finally achieve our goal and we now have a beautiful, healthy baby. I have also seen Rikke for pain treatment and I joined her prenatal Pilates class her at the Monterey Pilates Studio.
She tailors her treatments specifically to each individual. She listens and understands, she soothes and guides. Her acupuncture helped my body sustain my baby, helped me manage my pain and her Pilates instruction helped my body stay fit and flexible in preparation for labor. If you're researching Rikke, you're likely wanting to conceive a child. I know how extremely sensitive this situation is. Because of a medical condition, I was told by two different doctors that I wouldn't be able to have kids easily. My periods were few (3-5 times a year) and I likely didn't ovulate. If I did conceive I would more than likely miscarry.
So I absolutely understand that desire to become and be a mother. Also, I'm in the medical profession. Therefore I can give you a perspective based on these point of views. I decided to do acupuncture and herbal teas because if I wasn't meant to naturally have children I didn't want to subject myself to medications and/or procedures.
I was willing to accept God's will. And I acknowledge eastern medicine as a legitimate form of treatment for certain ailments. Here are the facts regarding my case: I first saw her May 1, 2013 and was pregnant by the end of June. My son was born late Feb 2014. She listened to what my symptoms were, in relation to my monthly cycles, and instinctually knew what she needed to needle.
This in combination with the herbal teas were extremely effective. Rikke was also quite knowledge of medical conditions, anatomy, and medical pathophysiology, clearly explaining to me what was going on within my body based on my symptoms and their timing. I was pretty impressed seeing that she also owned several of the medical tomes/books I had studied out of.
Not only had Rikke played a part with helping me getting pregnant, she helped with some of the symptoms I experienced during the pregnancy: headaches, nausea, sciatica, and severe neuropathy of my leg. Not only that, she was a great resource during my pregnancy, offering advice and wisdom to ease my mind during the three trimesters. I was glad to visit her every week because it felt like a date with a girlfriend.
She was there from beginning to end of my pregnancy, so she knew everything that was going on. It was an investment going every week, but well worth the money. I have my son (whom doctors said would never exist) and a new lifelong friend.

I wasn't normally one for natural healing practices, but I wanted to try acupuncture for general ailments like shoulder pain, stress, and anxiety. My co-workers highly recommended Rikke and I have been going to her for one year and a half now. She has a very calming disposition and really knows what she's doing. She takes HSA / HRAs, which helps generally healthy people, take advantage of their employer health benefits. I'm a convert for sure!

(This review is being written by my wife) Rikke is, in a word, awesome! I saw her consistently for the duration of my last pregnancy, as well as post partum. I firmly believe that seeing Rikke on a regular basis is a large reason why I had a uncomplicated pregnancy. I went to Rikke around the time my husband and I decided we wanted to have a baby. Rikke is incredibly knowledgable and I felt very comfortable asking her questions. I feel that the treatments from Rikke contributed greatly to me being able to conceive quickly and have a wonderful pregnancy. The discomforts during pregnancy were treated successfully. The welcoming and calm environment was very relaxing. I always looked forward to my appointments. I cannot recommend Blessing Acupuncture enough!

Blessing Acupuncture is the best! I see Rikke for hip pain, among other things. After years of discomfort, she has helped me tremendously. I thoroughly enjoy the feeling of release from life's pressures and the calm that follows. Amazes me every time! She's always busy but is almost always available. : Go see Rikke! You can't go wrong.
