Fantastic to finally attended Maggies 1st class at the GTY studio since Covid restrictions. 100% a clean/safe setup from entrance, bathroom, studio mat space. There is nothing better in my yoga practice than to hear Maggie giggle! Great job Maggie. Glad to be back PS Attended Julie's class Friday. As usual, Julie weaved her yoga magic.

The space is full of kind, heartfelt energy. The instructors come from all kinds of amazing and unique backgrounds. Makes sense when you find out the studio has been in business for over a decade!

I was skeptical of trying this place out. I'm a novice when it comes to yoga and after having been massively disappointed with my experiences at another local studio (*cough* *Yoga Sakti* *cough*), I didn't know what to expect. Green Tea turned out to be everything I'd hoped a yoga studio would be. It's small, but welcoming. The reception I received when I walked in was warm and genuine, the instructors are kind and calm, and the studio itself is quaint and cozy.

My only reason for not giving five stars is because I wish there were more classes and a wider variety. On the other hand, more classes might change the dynamic and that would be a shame. I'll take the trade off and continue enjoying this hidden little jewel.

I took my first class with Maggie. I'm a 61 year old male and found it challenging and comforting at the same time. I was't sure what to expect at first. Being a old athlete I love a challenge. The first 40 minutes was a real test for me. I didn't realize that i would be sweating like i just ran 3 miles. Then the last 20 minutes was therapeutic and spiritual. I will be back since i signed up for 3 classes which to me is a bargain. Thank you Maggie you are awesome.

I have been going to Green Tea Yoga for several years. It is a warm and welcoming space. The owner, Maggie, is a great yoga instructor and lovely person - which adds so much to the atmosphere of the studio. I like the fact that it is a smaller studio, it feels more inviting. But despite the size, there is a good variety of yoga classes geared towards all levels including prenatal and "momaste" classes.

They also offer a variety of complimentary activities such as weekly meditation and Reiki, Let Your Yoga Dance and Journey Dance and massage and nutrition counseling. There are also many special events every month that sound so interesting. I just wish I had time to go to all of them!

Green Tea Yoga Rocks! Great place to practice yoga and good people to share it with. Additionally GTY supports local artists and that's always a good thing!

Finally. I have been looking for a yoga studio for years now. Granted, my ambivalence -bordering- on -dislike of yoga played a strong part, but they say you really need to find a place that clicks for you, and 'they' are right. I'm an endurance athlete, but I get my workouts elsewhere and was more interested in the relaxation/spiritual benefit. I'm super type A, and would like at least to lower it to an A-.

I tried the gentle community class with Maggie and was pleasantly surprised. Maggie does indeed have great energy. I was a little skeptical when I read it another review, but she has a great presence and makes you feel comfortable. For example, I also tried the amazing Restorative class, and I was the only one who hadn't been. Maggie demonstrated everything on me, and made sure I knew what to do. I'm looking forward to trying other classes and instructors as well. Oh, and huge bonus for me is the parking lot. I can barely park so there's no stress in getting there!

I teach Yoga on the West Coast, where Yoga studios and good teachers are plenty. While visiting family here, on the East Coast, I decided to check out a few studios. I prefer to take gentle/moderate classes when I travel because, ultimately, this is where you get the time and pace to learn most about your own practice and to better yourself on all levels.

Green Tea Yoga was my third stop this week. I took Maggie's gentle and was completely blown away by her super positive energy. She's the kind of teacher (and I suspect person) who you want to be around. She enlivens the room with her presence, leads a truly increadable class with detailed, clear ques, and teaches her students about their own bodies in the process.

While I haven't taken any other classes at the studio just yet, I would not make a judgement (as another reviewer did) that an experience practicioner won't get to the next level here. As I said, this was a 'gentle' class and I came away learning a lot. You can learn a lot in a gentle class and you can learn a lot in advanced classes as long as you take them with the right teacher. Maggie is GOLD. I can't wait to be back.

I have been a long time, frequent customer on Green Tea and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Green Tea offers a variety of practices, from beginner to Power Hour for more advanced practitioners. My favorite class is Power Flow with Larisa on Thursday evenings. In addition to regular yoga, Green Tea also offers children's yoga, yoga for moms/expecting moms, massage, reiki, and acupuncture; I visit Stephanie for acupuncture every week. Go Green Tea!

I've attended roughly 5 prenatal yoga classes at Green Tea Yoga and just purchased my 10 class punch card! I've been to many yoga studios in the area and was trying to find a prenatal class I could get to in Salem, since I work in Boston. I was pleasantly surprised to see Green Tea has late classes. The prenatal class starts at 7pm. The prenatal class is very inviting and at the first class I was a little caught off guard that you go around the room and introduce yourself but at the second class I really grew to appreciate it. It's nice to know other women's stories and what they are going through. Alicia, the instructor, is funny and good at what she does.

She teaches us great poses that we can use at home and keeps the class relaxing and fun at the same time. I leave feeling relaxed and calm each time. The studio is clean and warm and I only wish I could make to every Wednesday class!

This yoga studio is great! I've been going here for a few months and always take the "Mamaste" yoga class, which is an all levels Vinyasa class. The instructor, Catie, is awesome! I always leave class feeling relaxed, centered and get a great night's sleep! I've heard the other yoga classes here and instructors are wonderful too. I recommend checking this place out if you live in the area.

I'm someone who has tried a few different yoga studios, YMCAs, gyms, etc, and never found a studio that really spoke to what I needed and wanted in a yoga practice until I came to Green Tea. A friend told me about their summer unlimited special and I thought I would try it out. Immediately I was hooked! My very first class was taught by Alicia, and I knew I had come to the right place- the studio is beautiful, and Alicia as a teacher is fantastic!

Her approach to yoga is "it's a practice", and she stresses that there are going to be some days where your balance is right on, and other days where all you will do is fall over, but it's a continual practice that should be enjoyed. I've found that this is the same philosophy that all of the instructors at Green Tea share. It's not about the absolute perfect Warrior 2, it's about finding your own intrinsic balance to get to a good place in your practice for that day. It's through this message and encouragement by all of my instructors that I have found myself exploring new poses (I know someday I will get Crow!) and fun modifications that work for my practice (for me, Dolphin on the wall is the only way to go!).

And honestly, from the discussions I have w/folks I've met in class, my experience there has not been unique. It's a great studio and I can't recommend it enough!

As someone who had never done yoga before, I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into. During my first class, I twisted and stretched into weird positions my body wasn't used to. I learned quickly that yoga was much harder than it seemed. However, the instructor was extremely helpful and paid close attention to the needs of everyone in the class.

Not only was my experience relaxing and peaceful, I really felt my muscles working to hold the poses. Green Tea Yoga is a great place to go if you're looking for an hour to escape from your busy life. With a great schedule and quiet environment, you'll be sure to enjoy this cup of tea.

A small, cosy studio with plenty of personal attention. Great for beginners and the casual yogi, but more advanced students won't get the instruction they need to get to the next level.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a yogi. : My sister and I checked this place out one Sunday morning. We took Theo's Kundalini inspired class. $10 student drop-in rate? Yes, please! Theo was very welcoming and told us about upcoming events and rates for class cards vs. drop in rates. The class itself was interesting. Having taken Kundalini yoga classes, I could somewhat see the resemblance.

To me the class felt like a workout inspired by yoga moves. The beginning warm up was a little out there and just seemed to last too long. The repetition was a bit boring at times, but it was a good workout. Hello, sore buns! Overall, it was a decent class and I'd definitely check out some of their other course offerings.

I attended the most wonderful restorative yoga workshop last Sunday, October 4th. It was 2 hours long, almost better than a massage and I did not need my usual glass of wine to relax in the evening. I look forward to the next one in November. I recommend this workshop to any stressed out individual.
