Why is massage beneficial? Massage is one of the most effective means available to combat stress. Massage releases chronic tension and pain in muscles, improves circulation, increases flexibility in the joints and reduces mental and physical fatigue. Massage elicits the "relaxation response" sending your own powerful, pain-reducing hormones into your bloodstream.
Cupping therapy is the use of plastic, glass or silicon cups; creating a suction or "negative pressure " through the body. This releases tight muscles and connective tissue, rids the body of toxins and increases circulation. Cupping relieves tension anywhere in the body. It is often used for low back pain, shoulder restrictions, leg cramps as well as respiratory and abdominal issues.

According to the National FibroMyalgia and Chronic Pain Management Organization, regular massage and myafascial release treatments can significantly reduce episodes of pain and debilitation for indiviiduals living with symptoms of fibromyalgia. This was also borne out in a recent study by The University Of Miami School of Medicine, Touch Research Institute.
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. According the Mayo Clinic, Myofascial Release has been found to be beneficial for relieving back pain.
