Hot Yoga Sugar Land welcomes men and women. No experience necessary. Whether your goal is stress reduction, weight loss, improved athleticism or a renewed sense of joy: our community is here for you. Breathing necessary-transformation optional. There was plenty of space to allow for distance between those attending and it was a very comfortable environment.
This was my first time doing hot yoga and Jo Davis was our instructor. She was very friendly and patient with new students. More and helpful at helping me figure out what I need to work on.

HOT Yoga offers amazing Yoga and Pilates that will improve your physical fitness and your overall well-being. Learn more about our classes and set up a time to come take your first class! Experience Original Hot Yoga the way it was designed! This class is the traditional 90 minutes with 2 breathing exercises and 26 postures, practiced in 105°F and 40% humidity.
The short answer-when muscles and connective tissues are heated they become more pliable. Our goal at HOT Yoga is to optimize the time spent on the mat, and the elevated temperature is akin to the "best bang for your buck." Our team of teachers encourages each person to test his/ her own edge, reminding everyone to exert their best each day.
We say that it's yoga "practice" not perfect - because we are always learning, and trying to get just 1% better at something. Maybe it's remaining still when wanting to wiggle. Or kicking a bit deeper into a posture. Perhaps today's practice is breathing through the mental clutter that wants to take over the mind during class.

I was so surprised with how warm & humid the class gets. There are new "boutique" yoga gyms that aren't able to accomplish the right heat/humidity. The teachers were all so knowledgeable and sweet. The students are all levels of expertise. This is such an inclusive place. People of all variations are in every class and it feels like such a safe place.

Its been years since I have been to this studio. A friend recommended I try again, so today I did & was surprised how much has changed! The yoga room is spacious and impeccably clean! They took out the old carpets and replaced it with an antimicrobial anti slip hard flooring designed for the heat. They now have a variety of classes, I tried the Inferno Hot Pilates with Alanna.
She led a fun class that I really felt gave me an excellent total body workout. The heat level was perfect, along with her energy & music got my sweat on & made the hour fly by!

What a wonderful studio! Cute little spot with great classes and instructors. Haven't taken the Pilates, yet, but have heard only positive reviews about them, however, i have taken several hot yoga classes over the years and enjoyed each experience. It has been a long while since I have been to the studio, so I was pleased to be immediately welcomed by the instructor of the class that day, Amelia.
She was very kind and accommodating: checked me in, even briefly showed me around and gave me some tips for survival of the class. Class was really amazing. I have taken a few of her classes before and known her to be a very considerate instructor - if she knows you are new (or it has been some time since taking class and you require a little additional assistance), she will make an effort to repeat cues or be near you when explaining the pose to assist you.
She was also great about not staying in one spot. I like an instructor who moves around the room. All of it, plus her sense of humor, helped guide me in this last class (i was strugglingggg). I will definitely return to the studio soon for another one of her classes. (.and Pilates.)

I've just completed my 50th class in this studio and I love everything about it. The instructors are very welcoming, friendly and patient (if you are a beginner like me, you'll fit right in). The studio is clean and has a great antibacterial cushiony floor. I've mostly done the 26-2 hot yoga (mostly with Erin who is fantastic) but today I tried the hot vinyasa class with Etti and it was really good! I plan on being a regular to that one as well. Glad to see that more and different classes are being added to the schedule.

Probably the best yoga studio in the entire Houston area. The teachers are knowledgeable and caring, and they offer a great diversity of classes. I look forward to Amelia's yoga every weekend, and love Alanna's hot Thursday pilates! Love their fun and positive personalities. Also love the new owners and how they've upgraded the place! I'm definitely hooked!

I have been coming to Hot Yoga Suga Land for over six months. It is a very welcoming place, and all instructors are friendly and professional. I enjoy both the hot yoga and inferno hot pilates classes. I feel great mentally and physically after each class. Joining the exercise class here is something I always look forward to after a long day's work. I would come every day if my schedule allows. Highly recommend!

Especially the Pilates classes are my personal favorite and sure to please and make you feeling at ease

My first time there and I loved it from the moment I walked in. I was warmly welcomed by the instructor and she went out of her way to help. Heard so many great things about this studio and they are all true! The yoga room is spacious, perfectly heated, spotless and perfectly maintained. I'm joining as soon as I move here. Even the owner checked on me to see how my class went. Can't ask for more than that. A wonderful experience.

I absolutely love this studio! The people are wonderful and welcoming and the studio is always buzzing with good energy. Their hot room does not have carpet which for me is a win! It always smells clean and does not have that common Bikram funk to it. While I have not taken the hot pilates class there I have attended several of the 90 and 60 minute hot yoga classes.
The teachers are all great and again could not be more welcoming. If you are looking for a new studio check this one out, you won't be disappointed! Also, Alana (the owner) is often present and usually answers their phones, I love the feel of a studio who's owner is an active part of the community, it makes a huge difference all around.

I love the place and it is clean and sanitize and organized. I had a bad experience with the instructor Laos. I don't mind correcting and adjusting my posture, though I've been practicing yoga and I know I have more to learn. But I feel embarrassed when he is telling me in front of the class that I am distracting the class by sharing water with my daughter. I lost connection with my practice and disrespectful with my practice and space.

I have been coming to this studio for at least 10 years. During that time there have been several owners. I was a bit apprehensive of another new owner taking over this last time, but it has been a wonderful change. Alanna has such a great personality and a bigger heart. She has created an environment that is welcoming to all individuals regardless of ability.
I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 30 years and joint pain is a part of my daily life. I've had a total hip replacement and surgery on both my feet. My balance, or lack thereof, has always bothered me in the hot room, however, I have never been judged or corrected for my inabilities. I do what I can and the heat has helped keep my joints mobile.
My body seems to crave the heat. I cannot say enough about the wonderful practitioners as well as the instructors. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them is caring, compassionate, helpful and encouraging. There have been many changes and the new flooring is a big one. Clean, odor-free, and great acoustics. What else can I say? I love the people that practice here and love the teachers.

This is my all time favorite hot yoga studio around! The new owner has completely transformed the studio and the vibe is so positive and contagious. I especially love how Alanna teaches the 26&2 hot yoga class. She knows the body mechanics in a way that I have never experienced from a teacher so don't be surprised if you have an (aha) moment during class:).
Her 5:30 original 90 on Wednesday is a great time that works well for getting home from work and still having family time! Alanna also teaches a mash up class that combines two styles of yoga, whooop! Make sure to try the weekend warrior class too as well as the hot Pilates classes. They are low impact and fun. I could go on and on about Hot Yoga Sugarland.
The studio owner recently put in new floors and for someone that loves beats that you can feel in your chest this now is the place for that too as the new floor has created the best acoustics! The room looks even larger than before (if you can imagine that)!

Hot Yoga Sugarland is my favorite place to be. I love to spend my 90 minutes doing the 26&2 almost everyday in the HOT! studio. I have been going to this studio for the past four years and ever since Alana has taken over this studio, she has worked very hard to turn around the studio completely. She even changed the old and dirty floorings and installed new and clean floorings this month.
The teachers are very friendly and everyone is very welcoming. I really want to thank Alana and all teachers for being so kind and compassionate every time I attend a class. It feels like family with all of you

I am a huge fan of Bikram yoga and have lived and experienced the health benefits that come with regular practice. Under Alanna's management, the Hot Yoga Sugar Land studio not only provides the best Bikram Yoga classes, it also offers a variety of heated classes that allows you to work out your entire body - Pilates, Buti Yoga, Hot Flow Yoga. Everything I could ask for in one studio! I definitely recommend checking it out!

First let me say the instructor was very kind and encouraging. The lobby area is bright, organized, and clean. 2cnd let me say the musty smell of the carpet ruins the experience. Very discouraging if that's the first thing your hit with when you walk into a yoga room. When breath is a huge part of the yoga discipline, the last thing I feel like doing is taking a deep breath in. very sorry to say this but true.
The other thing I was a bit suprised about was the yoga instructor only calling out the positions and not one demonstration. She stood tall and told us to have good posture but that was about it. She was detailed In her explanations but what about the people who are new to her class or visual? Being a group fitness instructor myself I found this very curious.
She would sip water, ball roll under her feet, and give very good verbal direction ( thank God) That's great that her communication is clear but it took me a lot longer to get where I needed to be. If she would only half demonstrate that'd be great. I felt lost at times trying to follow some of the other students, many of them doing completely different things.
That being said, because she was so kind and a clear communicator I would go back to her class. I understand that it takes time to learn instructors different styles. The reason I will not be back is the smell. Musty to me = unhealthy. Tear that carpet out put in some wood floors and I'd be back in a heartbeat, probably with a much more positive review.

I first fell in love with the students and teachers of the HOT Yoga Sugar Land community, as I initially met many of them at a community event. They are such an amazing group and their energy and enthusiasm is inspirational. When I visited them at their studio for a training and experienced first hand their commitment to a community atmosphere. They are truly a group that is united and supported by one another.
I felt at home the minute I walked in the door, greeted by the Owner, Alanna, and her staff. She has really put a lot of thought and intention behind every inch of the beautiful studio to make it as warm and inviting as the people coming through the door. It has a large layout with a lot of amenities. They have a great class schedule with amazing teachers! Can't wait to come back!

Since changing owners, this studio has become TOP NOTCH. Alanna is truly passionate & knowledgeable about what she does and treats each and every client like family. The instructors & staff are incredibly welcoming and make you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. I previously had never done Yoga in a hot studio setting, but left class burning twice the amount of calories in one session and LOVED it! Give this place a try, it's absolutely worth it

Love this studio! It's under new ownership and completely revamped. Wonderful, uplifting staff & yogi presence. They offer a range of classes and usually surprise you during savassana with a cool towel with essential oils on it- the best feeling! They are very active in the community, which I love. Always coming up with ways to help benefit the community and provide opportunities for their yogis to be a part of it. Spreading positive vibes!
They are open to and solicit suggestions from their clients. Always offering new more convenient times, etc. super easy to check the schedule and book classes online. So glad sugar land has a studio like this!

This is my happy place! The new owner, Alanna, is so full of positive and beautiful energy, that it will literally seep into your bones and make you smile. She has turned this studio into a place you want to come back to time and time again. The heat.so in love with how amazing it makes me feel. My body very much thanks you Alanna for making it right!
And the teachers, Cathy, Ronnie, Cindy, Lorena, Marcus, Naomi, Di-Anah, Donna.every single one of them shine! Heard great things about Rashad too! Can't wait to try his class! Each of them are encouraging, positive, and always bring pure joy into their classes. If you're having a bad, get your booty to Bikram and get salty! In 90min, or 60.you will have a new lease on life! Someone once said to me, if you don't go, you might regret it. But if you do go, you just do it, you will never regret it!

This is the most welcoming, laid back, and well taken care of studio I have been to in the area. Their schedule is awesome- I assumed it was just a 90-minute Bikram offering across the board but they have tons of 60 minute classes, and some non Bikram. The new owner really knows her stuff; she's young as hip and really revitalizing the place! New changes every day in the last few weeks. I'm a permanent member now!

Forget the Groupon, the new student special is $49 for one month of unlimited classes, which is a GREAT deal if you're dedicated to practicing often. If your schedule is too hectic, you can purchase class packages and drop in when you can. Class: 90 minutes. Apparently, Bikram adopted his method from his yoga master, who made him practice for THREE HOURS a day. Uh, no thanks.
That sh*t cray. Studio: Spacious. It does get crowded, so stagger with your neighbor so you don't accidentally elbow or fling sweat at them. It's carpeted to help prevent slippage, with windows to let in natural sunlight. Yes.there are ant baits, which is troubling, but I've yet to see any insects. Locker room: Only one bathroom stall and two showers.
I appreciate that they provide female hygiene products, and even a hair dryer. That communal hair brush though? I'd rather have a million tangles than go anywhere near that. Instructors: Mostly nice, not as serious as the ones at other studios I've been to. They joke around during practice, which is distracting. I get it, you have a fun personality, and I'd love to be friends with you in real life, but it breaks my focus when you deviate from the instruction.
It takes a lot of concentration to stay in the zone while you tell stories about your ex-boyfriend, or hate on your fellow instructors. One instructor, in particular, is abrasive and not very "namaste." You'll know which one I'm referring to. He is extremely opinionated, and goes off on angry tirades and tangents. Every shavasana becomes story time for him, and we are his captive audience. Ugh.this is a dead-body pose, so let me RIP.
He talks non-stop, most of it irrelevant, so we end up rushing through poses. It just puts me on edge, and that defeats the purpose of yoga. Yogis: People of all ages and sizes- I even saw an 8 year-old girl. Only a few women come with hair done and full makeup (HAHAHAHAHA pointless). I can't verify certain proclaimed physical health benefits- improved metabolism, digestive system, and reproductive system (um, what?)- but you will strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.
I can also attest to the mental health benefits. You'll feel nothing short of elation upon completion of each class. If you're still on the fence about bikram yoga, just know that it's mind over body- anyone can do it!
