Uncover, discover, tap into your power and just be. Most of us live in our heads, busy as can be, never stopping to take a few long breaths or stretch out our aching back and shoulders. It can be your hour of peace in a hectic week, a workout, therapy for an ailing joint, or it can transform your life if you let it.

Sol Yoga is definitely my favorite studio in the area. The instructors are knowledgable, talented and passionate about their practice. They genuinely care about their students and are considerate of the students needs, limitations and aspirations. The studio provides a safe and welcoming environment for both members and guests. Classes are varied and scheduled at convenient times.
Although I stick to in person class, there are virtual options and a large library of pre-recorded classes available on-line for members. I was hooked on Sol when I first entered the studio on Patrick Street. I felt a positive energy when I entered the building. Only a few short months into attending classes to the studio, our lives changed dramatically due to the pandemic. Sol, anticipating the closing mandates, was "test driving" virtual platforms before the manatees went into effect.
Being proactive allowed the students to continue their practice with little or no disruption. In May last year we returned to in person classes. Not to the original studio, but across the street in the Yoga Yard - the backyard of a historic home in downtown Frederick. A few months later, the Garage was re-opened for in person classes. A former garage, the Garage is a light, airy place that also emanates positive energy.
I plan on being a Sol member for a very, very long time. I've come to the realization that I'm getting older and need to adjust my methods, techniques and approaches for achieving and maintaining physical and mental well being. For seasoned yogis and new yogis, I highly recommend Sol Yoga Studio.

I love the variety of classes offered. Sol Yoga is the studio you should consider if you want variation in your practice. I have attended active classes where the heat and energy is palpable, and more Yin oriented classes that helped me focus my attention on myself and my breathing. I also appreciate the number of good cause yoga classes, and the inspirational environment of the spaces.
All of the Sol Yoga locations have something unique to offer and qualified, dedicated teachers who seem invested in helping you improve your postures and breathing. I have always been able to find a space to park, even after a snowstorm, but I would recommend coming a few minutes early to make sure you have enough time to find a space, gather your materials, and come into the moment.
