Chinese Herbal Medicine is the main treatment modality within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is the world's oldest, continually practiced professional medicine. Its written history stretches back over 2,500 years and its practice is probably much older than that. By way of a thorough diagnosis, the doctor will analyze your body's individual disharmonies.
A: Many patients do not even realize the needle has been inserted. Once the needle has obtained the correct stimulus, the patient should feel some cramping, heaviness, distention, tingling, or electric sensation either around the needle or traveling up or down the affected meridian, or energy pathway.
Dr. Zhipei Fu provides quality care based on acupuncture and naturally occurring Chinese herbal medicine. The Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Health Care clinic has a Williamsville office, Orchard Park office and a Buffalo office. I have serious peripheral neuropathy in both of my feet due to two separate instances. Both feet/legs have hardware. I don't/won't do medical pharmaceuticals for pain relief so I have been looking for an alternative pain relief source. Acupuncture! Why not? Dr. Fu is a one woman show and is very energetic. I visited her Orchard Park location - Red Tail Drive - and was very impressed.
She answered all of my questions. She explained the procedure and wowed me with her ability to insert needles in places such as my ears without my never knowing her swift hands were near. I felt great upon removal of all needles. I felt the process went well and I had hoped for long term relief. The long term never happened and I don't believe it's due to anything she did or did not do.
I guess that I don't know how or why acupuncture should work and we, as Big Pharma recipients, are not too often offered alternatives. Bottom line, the treatment went well. Not too expensive. I just don't know how to rate this. Dr. Fu has a following. She was great, just not for what I needed.
