Chinese medicine views the human body as an energetic system in dynamic balance, and encompasses how the human body interacts with the surrounding environment and all aspects of life. This system of medicine maintains that the key to health is the harmonious and balanced functioning of the body, mind, and spirit through the unobstructed flow of life energy, or qi (pronounced chee), along pathways known as meridians.
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on approach that releases tensions deep within the body to help resolve trapped forces that underlie and govern patterns of disease and fragmentation in both body and mind. Using a soft touch, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord.
Flower Essences are herbal infusions or decoctions, made from the flowering part of the plant, which uniquely address emotional and mental aspects of wellness. The first 38 flower remedies were formulated by a British physician, Dr. Edward Bach, in the 1930's, although new remedies from other plant species are now available.
Hydrotherapy utilizes one of our most basic elements, water, to treat the entire body. There are several forms of this effective treatment, and has been known to help treat almost any condition. It is used to cleanse and rebuild metabolism while also stimulating whole body healing. At Sage Health Center, we use hot and cold towels that are applied to varies parts of the body to create a pump-like action in the circulatory and lymph systems. Wet towels are applied to varies parts of the body depending on the chief complaint.
At Sage Health Center, we offer many different types of laboratory and diagnostic testing. We are able to run basic blood work, including cholesterol, vitamin D, thyroid studies, urinalysis and many more. We also offer hormone testing, stool analysis, and h-pylori breath testing. Dr. Rudd has been the biggest blessing to our family! She is professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients. I was in Bend for a good friend's wedding. Beautiful country and so much outdoor stuff to. We a lot of hiking and a few days later my back started hurting. I didn't want to be in pain for the wedding and needed a acupuncturist. I did a search and found Sage Health and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule. I saw Dr. Rudd and she able to relieve my back pain.
I have a great acupuncturist back in Houston, but Dr. Rudd was just as good. Great service and super nice people kind of like the Southern Hospitality that I'm used to in Houston. I highly recommend Sage Health Center!

I came to Sage Health Center and Dr. Rudd as a final resort. I had been under care of a health specialist at OHSU. I had been diagnosed with a chronic disease and had little hope from conventional healthcare. After visiting with Dr Rudd I was very hopeful about moving forward with my healthcare. I have now been seeing Dr Rudd for almost a year and my blood work, MRI scans and overall health has never looked better.

I am completely pleased with the care given by Dr Rudd and her team. She is so thorough, takes her time with you, and is very caring. She has helped me in so many ways. They are quick to answer the phone and/or get back with you in a timely manner. I had a problem and they got me in, in the same day. Amazing improvement after her acupuncture treatment. She loves what she does, and that comes through in her care and treatments. Her team is also great, as is the followup.
