When you find a good restaurant, they tell you not to tell anyone about it, as soon you won't be able to get a table. Anyone who has tried to eat in Portland can attest to this. So it is with much chagrin that I offer this review of my experiences at Turning Point, where clients are not offered a dining table, but a massage table and the ablest pair of hands in town.
My work keeps me up until the early hours of the morning, hunkered over a computer with bad posture and constant tension. That melts away at Turning Point, where an hour can have me relaxed and well-prepared for the world. Put bluntly, Amanda is the best-kept secret in Eugene, and well worth double her fee for the amount of relief and rejuvenation she provides.
She meets the needs of every client, and as someone who likes a lot of pressure, she can summon the God of vice grips and tame my stiff arms, shoulders, and neck. Amanda's arsenal not only includes Swedish, but also Thai and reflexology. Dr. Bove is also excellent; I very much appreciated my acupuncture visit and would return for naturopathic services, as well.
The selfish side of me would like you to do us all a favor and NOT go to Turning Point, so that I don't have to compete with you for appointments. However, the more generous side of me believes that if everyone got a massage from Amanda, the world would be better off for it.

A few days ago I injured myself pulling out some very stubborn weeds (rye grass) in my garden. The pain was so intense that I winced nearly every time the effected muscles were touched or used. By the time I was on my way in to the Turning Point Center for my massage, I was not able to breathe deeply without experiencing pain in my chest. Half way through my Thai massage with Amanda I suddenly realized that the pain was gone.
Not better. Gone. Hours later (after hours spent on the computer at work) I can feel the slightest twinge if I repeat the movement that caused the injury but otherwise am pain free. Thank you Amanda!
