Lokahi Acupuncture

I have been a client for a few years and have worked with a number of practitioners. Everyone is awesome at Lokahi. You can not go wrong by choosing anyone. I have referred friends and family and highly recommend this acupuncture group.

I've been going to Lokahi Acupuncture for 16 years. Anna Rudel is the individual I've had since NY first appointment. Anna is a very passionate and caring individual who listens to what issues you are having and knows what to do to provide the best treatment. The staff is very kind and caring about meeting an individuals needs in order to get the proper care they need. Very comforting welcoming office.

I had my first visit with Andrea Geiger and my experience can bu summed up with a "thumbs-up". She was very thorough with her in-take and she really listen to the discomfort that I was experiencing. We've set a game plan for treatment moving forward. Overall, I felt welcomed, relaxed and in great hands. Thank you Andrea! I will be back for more treatments in the future.

I had previously been seen at Lokahi in 2021 for several health reasons but stopped coming because like everything, I tend to put my health on the back burner. I went back to Lokahi this weekend and was having terrible right shoulder pain, tenderness, stiffness. I had my session with Susannah amd she recommended trying cupping therapy which I have never tried on myself, but had heard of it. Let me tell you! My pain, tenderness and stiffness improved 90% after my first session! I am thrilled to go back next weekend for another session. Susannah is amazing!

I started feeling better after just one treatment. I've had two treatments. I'd been reaching out to doctor, allergy specialist and ENT for the past 2 years & they have failed tremendously. I started losing hope that I'll ever feel ok without medication or antibiotics because they thought maybe it'll resolve my symptoms. Acupuncture has helped me relax & I can't wait to continue bettering my pain & stress. Andrea is very pleasant & makes me actually feel cared about. Something I've been seeking from my medical team & so called specialists. I'm feeling hopeful again thanks to the treatments.

I am so impressed with Lokahi and specifically Andrea. I have been going now for a few weeks and already have been sleeping so much better. I normally have very bad headaches and last time she focused on those points. I believe this was able to help my headaches from not progressing into a migraine. Everyone is so pleasant and the environment is very relaxing. I will be going for a long time!

I Absolutely L-O-V-E this office, I came here on a referral. To my Surprise everyone in the office staff is very welcoming pay attention to every detail of your hurts, pain and go beyond that to make you feel special. I have been going to Cathryn acupuncture for 4 years now and LOVE it! She's helped me through two pregnancies and has a wealth of knowledge that allows her to provide service through needles, cupping, herbs, and conversation. Lokahi is an excellent, clean, and calm facility. They take precautions to handle covid risks responsibly while still being available for their clients.

The most thorough and thoughtful care I've ever received. I started going to Katy for fertility support and her treatment helped me get pregnant. I always look forward to seeing her and being greeted by Jeanene. I truly can't recommend Katy and Lokahi enough!

Anna's better than sliced bread. WAY better, since I can't eat bread. I look forward to each session. today's was no different. Felt better just for having been there, even if I hadn't had benefit of acupuncture, thanks to Anna's energy and presence being innately positive. Upon research and reading reviews on yelp has lately been my thing. New to San Jose and don't know what to expect especially with this pandemic that surrounds us. Thought why not. Doesn't hurt to consult. That's all I've been doing. From skin care to my whole body. I met wit Anna on zoom and she gathered my history and walked me through what to expect and how she can assist for my cervical spine stenosis, overall nervous system and getting pregnant one last time at the age of 43.

The struggle is REAL! This morning I met with Anna in person and she is so lovely. Love her accent. She is just as real in person as she was when we met on zoom. I mean you can tell if someone is just beating around the bush and just wants your business but Anna listened, she asked questions, both trying to figure out first steps. I can get pregnant just a matter of when and having to feed my body with a better lifestyle in general. I've been stressed and full of anxiety.

Stay at home mom is a job in itself. A very big job! All moms and dads out there. The comfort level I felt today grounded me. I felt eased and positive and after treatment I felt weight had been lifted. Consistency is key Anna says so I am going to do my best to stick it out. If a miracle happens, I would be happiest and blessed and if not, it is ok too. I want to be the healthier me now. Thank you Anna. Thank you for believing in me and working with me on my journey.

I've had the pleasure of interacting with most of the acupuncturists at this office and have been continuously blown away by their kindness and expertise. Katy is extremely skilled in her work and truly creates a healing space for her patients. Every treatment has always felt incredibly therapeutic. The front desk staff is wonderful as well.

This is an incredible business and Anna is a truly special person. When I came to try acupuncture I wasn't exactly a believer, but Anna has a very calming personality that instills trust and confidence immediately. Each session was started with a check in discussion and honestly talking with Anna made my visits dual benefit: emotionally therapeutic and physically/ holistically beneficial with the acupuncture treatment.

I now consider Anna a friend and really the entire staff is phenomenal. I believe that acupuncture did help me achieve my goal and I am very grateful to Anna and her team. Highly recommend this business!

My first time at Lokahi was a year ago - I received acupuncture for stress and felt really good after, but I didn't make the time to go again. I've suffered with chronic migraines since I was 13 yrs old and receive botox injections for them. I got really busy at work towards the end of 2019 and didn't make the time to do anything other than work. 3 weeks ago I started having a horrible migraine combined with neck and shoulder pain that wouldn't go away - I tried everything: botox, maxalt, ib profen and when I realized I was taking excedrin, twice a day just to get out of bed - I made the first available appointment at Lokahi that happen to be with Holly Barnett.

I told Holly that I know this was all happening from stress and tension. Holly recommended that I have a cupping session followed with acupuncture. When I woke up the next morning - I can't explain how incredible I felt. All of the pain had disappeared and I even felt like I had a burst of energy. Thank you so much for being incredible but also reminding me that work / life balance is important. I can't wait to be back next week!

I am so impressed with the service, and quality of care at this clinic. The practitioners provide very comprehensive care in an environment that sets you up for deep healing. I love going to my acupuncture appointments here, it really calms me and I definitely feel my stress melting away when I have an appointment! The space is very relaxing and tranquil. I mainly go to Cathryn and she's so amazing, friendly, and compassionate! I've also had appointments with Susanna, Anna, and Katy and they are all wonderful! Can't speak more highly about Lokahi!

Inefficient. Unprofessional. As a brand new patient, having already paid an obscene copay of $75.00!?, without an official appointment, it is not worth the money. No front desk staff available. Waited and watched wandering random staff noticing me but not bothering to interject. What an impression. My Acupuncturist NEVER showed her face. Wow. I walked out. Beyond shameful.

Went in for an Accupunture. The staff were pretty courteous and friendly. They scheduled appointment quickly based on my need and timeline. The place is well maintained and clean. The locality is also nice and residential. They followed with a greeting card by mail which was a good personal touch. acupuncturists are certified in China and authentic. The interns need a bit more training during sessions.

Ann Marie and Angel are incredible. Great bedside manners and techniques. I love them! My friend suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke 6 months ago and is currently being seen with Ann Marie since she has helped a number of stroke patients.

Online scheduling has been very convenient with my varying schedule. There's plenty of availability during the week that it's almost difficult to not find a time for myself. I've been seeing Sarah for my few sessions and she's very nice and attentive to my needs. I saw Angel today and she was just wonderful as well. I can feel the differences in their techniques and I can see how they benefit me for my current issues. Thank you to the wonderful team at Lokahi Acupuncture!

I've been going to lokahi and to Angel a number of times for athletic muscular soreness, some joint pain, deep painful knots etc. I used to visit a chiro and sometimes that worked but was always painful during and many days after. Acupuncture doesn't hurt and Angel has excellent touch. I don't know how acupuncture works but it works so I keep going. Highly recommended.

I don't fully understand how acupunture/cupping works but what I can say for sure is that it works. I've always been very healthy. So when I began experiencing very painful lower back tightness and discomfort (6 weeks ago), I was at a loss. I didn't want to fall into the cycle of masking the pain with meds so I tried Lokahi and just 3 sessions later I'm at 95%. Marianne is excellent! I'm really glad I went with my gut and tried this out. Thanks, Lokahi!

Wonderful caring environment for treatment. Angel is very attentive and caring. Jeannie always is a warm and welcome greeting at the front. On my first visit, I was feeling apprehensive and Jeannie provided a very touching and comforting positive interaction. I highly recommend Lokahi for acupuncture.

Katy Barry, and Lokahi have been a critical part of my care team since January 2017. I first became a patient after 3 miscarriages, and in advance of our first round of IVF. Katy treats me like a whole person in need of support and care, not just a broken body that needs fixing, an uncommon experience with fertility doctors. She is present, calm, and deeply empathetic.

I feel listened to and heard. She helps me process both good and bad medical news, and helps me to trust myself in decision making. She has helped me expand my care team to other professionals in the area including sharing resources for fertility friendly therapists, trainers, and nutritionists. She has provided me with resources to educate myself, tools to manage grief, fear and stress, and information about spaces where I could find community with others on my path.

I cannot imagine being on this journey without her, and the other members of the Lokahi team (I've seen Anna, and Catheryn too). If you're hesitant about trying this tool for infertility, or for anything else, I'd strongly encourage you to make a first appointment and see how you feel after you've tried it. I absolutely love Lokahi Acupuncture! I have been going there for almost a year for extreme sciatic pain due to a bulging disc. The acupuncture has given me such relief from the pain. I was able to sleep again and not feel the excruciating nerve pain. Anne Marie Deas has been so awesome treating my back pain, helping with stress, and overall making me feel better. Lokahi is a great clinic so peaceful and calming inside. I highly recommend Lokahi Acupuncture!

Angel has been great to work with on releasing tension in my back. This is the first acupuncture experience and she has helped me ease into it. The combination of cupping, scrapping, and acupuncture has worked well for me. The facilties are also very nice!

Cathryn is an amazing practitioner, friend, and human being. I started seeing her several years ago when I was trying to get pregnant and she has continued to support me and my health through pregnancy and beyond. Our visits always feel like I'm spending it with a dear friend. She's a great listener, with a warm heart and a wonderful sense of humor.

We start each session with a brain dump of everything that is bothering me and she takes it all in and knows just what to tackle. Sometimes it involves needles, or cupping, or tinctures. Sometimes just knowing she is listening goes a long way. And I always leave feeling completely rejuvenated. I love her tenacity in which she troubleshoots and resolves my health issues.

I have a history of PCOS and highly irregular menstrual cycles that made getting pregnant challenging. Under her care we were able to regulate them and prepare my body for pregnancy. I continued to see her while pregnant and felt she made sure my baby and I were getting quality care far beyond what my OB ever provided! She also does a great job explaining things and answering my many questions.

When she doesn't have the answer she will find resources and point me to them. Cathryn has never given up on me. It's rare to find someone you can completely trust with your health who provides such care and compassion.

I love the attentiveness of the staff and the personal touch Anna brought to every appointment. She always made me feel like I was the only patient she had. She helped me get pregnant with all three of my pregnancies, so I am forever grateful for her and Lokahi Acupuncture.

I've always been skeptical of acupuncture, but when traditional chiropractor and physical therapy didn't help my shoulder pain, a friend recommended acupuncture and I'm so glad I came here. Jax Chou was super attentive to what was going on, asked me a lot of great questions, and very attentive to my problem. He's great with the needles and explained everything he was doing every step of the way. I totally trust Jax and would say that he's one of the best health professional that I've gotten treatment from. My only regret was not coming here sooner.

If you're having back pain, you must try cupping. The office is spacious and very clean. Angel is sweet, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She definitely has magical hands and will make you feel better. Before my treatment, Angel asked me where my problem areas were. She made sure to take care of all the areas that I had mentioned. I arrived to Lokahi Acupuncture with a lot of lower back pain, but left feeling less pain after my treatment.

When she started the treatment, she massaged oil on my back and then applied the cups. After, she massaged some Asian oil on my back and then placed a heat lamp over my back. When she turned off the lights, I almost fell asleep. The treatment helped me sleep very well last night and I can't wait for my next treatment with Angel.
