2 weeks from giving birth and my OB informed me that my baby had turned and moved in to transverse position. She recommended acupuncture to help turn him head down again but said tricky at this point with the baby running out of room. Immediately called multiple clinics and even though Dr. Ricardo wasn't in the clinic, the receptionist was lovely and sympathetic and asked him to come in.
He then proceeded to even come in on weekends so I could fit as much acupuncture in as possible before the birth. After only 2 of my sessions, the baby indeed turned to head down which is apparently somewhat rare so late in the game. Can't recommend Dr. Ricardo enough. He's the best!

Since January/16, I've been taking my 3yr old to Westside Acupuncture Wellness Center to treat her with severe eczema (food allergies and sensitivities), and help with adjusting her supplements for MTHFR generic mutation. Despite a clean diet to heal her gut and skin I have never seen my daughter before with a healthy looking skin, her improvements begun when I started to see Dr. Miranda. Dr. Miranda is a very humble and very knowledgeable person.
His clinic is a very peaceful and quiet place, the staff has a very unique and great customer service, they are very supportive and have an exceptional way to treat patients. They always accommodate the follow up appointments according to the patients needs. Dr. Miranda has been able to help me on coaching my daughter's supplements needs along with the combination of Chinese herbs and acupuncture sessions.
Since I started at Westside Acupuncture my daughter's skin has tremendously improved. Now, my daughter looks like a normal toddler with a normal skin, I can walk out there with her without people noticing that we have battled with severe skin issues all over her body. A big thanks to Dr. Miranda's help, I am convinced that besides her diet, and supplements, the most important thing that is helping her to heal is the weekly acupuncture sessions, that helps her system while it starts to function back to normal and respond by itself.

I was very impressed with the setting and feeling as I walked into this stress free sanctuary. The easy music, slight aroma from herbs and decor immediately began relaxing me. I was blown away when Ricardo, holding my wrists explained several health issues I have. He was accurate in what he told me (my doc had already told me with some expensive tests). And then I was in a treatment room. Within 3 minutes I was asleep and in a deep relaxed state. I can't wait to go back. Staff are friendly and informative as well.

Dr. Miranda is amazing. I had hip pain related to my lower back that had been bothering me for nearly a year. I am an active person and enjoy yoga but I wasn't able to stretch or correct this pain myself. Dr Miranda took all of the pain away within four visits. After the first visit I noticed substantial pain relief and to this day I have no pain. I strongly recommend Dr Miranda! He is also an expert in diet and wellness and I'm looking forward to working with him to further balance my body.

I've been going to Westside Acupuncture for over a year now and I'm pretty happy with the results. I was suffering from sharp knee pain (from too much biking) for quite some time and after about 3 months of treatment I felt the pain subside significantly. I used to have difficulty walking up the stairs but not anymore! I'm glad I decided to start treatment with Ricardo. The service here is also great! They have been very cooperative in rescheduling per my availability when I miss an appointment. Overall 5 stars!

I have been extremely happy with the acupuncture treatments I have received from Westside Acupuncture & Wellness Center. I have been going for more than 3 years, and numerous conditions have gone away, including restless leg, digestion issues, sinus problems, and a miraculous improvement to my balance (when walking, due to a stroke years ago). I highly recommend Ricardo Miranda, who integrates Chinese medicine/acupuncture to treat a variety of conditions. Further, he researches medical studies and is ever growing his knowledge in all wellness arenas.
He is one of the few practitioners in Los Angeles with a vast knowledge of MTHFR and genetics. He also does fertility treatments for younger women to become pregnant, with great success for people I personally know!

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating with my schedule, and the atmosphere is very clean and relaxing. I have been coming here for acupuncture appointments for several months now and it has helped a ton with my energy levels and sleep quality. I noticed the difference the night after my first appointment, and quick progress on top of that with each additional appointment.

I have been going to Westside Acupuncture & Wellness Center for few months now and we are so happy with the treatment, it has helping me a lot with my pain and stress and also with the care of my heart due to a recent heart attack. The thing that I love the most is the people, the way everybody treats you there, we feel like family already, Dr. Ricardo is very professional, very honest and he really knows what he is doing and I totally trust him and his great staff with my health and my recovery! totally recommend this amazing place if you want to get the best treatment :

To start off, I rarely venture out to acupuncture, but after reading other reviews, I gave this place a try. Dr. Ricardo Miranda was very impressive and knowledgeable from the start, I explained my digestive issues as well as back problems I had been experiencing from being an RN on my feet for 12 hours a day. He took the time to explain the procedure, the concept of Qi, the benefits and risks involved, and got to know me personally.
I explained to him what I was hoping to receive from acupuncture and showed him my tensions spots. After my initial exam, I began my session. I found it to be very relaxing and they paid very close attention to areas I described as 'problem spots'. The room was clean and tidy, no concerns for sanitation here. I left feeling much more relaxed than when I first entered.
I set up another appointment! I will now be going once a week. I highly recommend the wellness center to anyone who is new to acupuncture. The staff is highly skilled, educated, and patient as they are willing to walk anyone through the process.

This place was right up the street from where I use to live in Santa Monica. About two years ago I started having some INTENSE back pain. After seeing my doctor had being pushed along with a bottle of Vicodine I was really disappointed that my issue wasn't being taken seriously. Part of me wanted the doctor to perform x-rays or to show a little more interest in my issue than just assuming I was looking for pain meds. Now, I was in so much pain that I decided to try acupuncture (after having a friend rave about the benefits she had seen from using it)-but I had a pretty big problem.
I am/was absolutely terrified of needles and pain. Dr. Ricardo was amazingly compassionate about my doubts and fears. He explained everything that was happening and made my first experience with acupuncture absolutely amazing. The acupuncture itself relieved a lot of my pain and I am happy to say that I still drive back to Santa Monica just to see Dr. Ricardo. Thanks so much.
