I have been a client of PSY for almost two years. I have always felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable at the studio. The teachers are all knowledgeable have their own specialized skills and styles. Teri is a caring studio owner and incredible teacher as well. The transition to online teaching was smooth, and the teachers have all been able to adapt their lessons for Zoom. I can't wait to be back in class in person; I miss the place.

Not at all what I was expecting today. I've been to this yoga center multiple times before and have always been really happy with my experience except for today. I usually take the 11AM basic yoga class with Laura(she isn't there anymore) so I decided to give the new instructor a try. I noticed right away that I was having a hard time trying to flow with the class and find a flow of my breath.
Then I realized that the music she was playing was very distracting. The music she was playing actually had lyrics to it. So whenever the person was singing, it would go over what the instructor was saying so I could never hear her. The music she was playing also was pretty upbeat. More upbeat than music for a yoga class should be if you ask me. She told us that she's been really into 80's music that week and that's what she was playing.
Over all I didn't feel like I benefited from that class at all and I feel like I wasted money and time. It's a shame though because the instructor was really nice. But when I sign up for a yoga class, I want to feel like I'm in a yoga class

You can always count on Park Slope Yoga Center on a stormy day or any holidays. This studio is always ALWAYS OPEN. I can always turn to PSYC for a flow to find my sanity after a long day! Great teachers, lots of classes offered through out the day/week and weekends! Also, best class-package deal in town! One year expiration date? Unheard of! This place is my sanctuary!

I have been going to this studio since I was a child. Since then, I have taken classes in various places in NYC and nothing compares to the integrity, care and professionalism of the teachers here. The atmosphere is intimate, cosy and welcoming. On top of that, it is a business run and owned by women of color. I recommend this studio to everyone -- regardless of level of experience in yoga. Each teacher has a unique style so I would suggest going to a couple of different classes to get a taste of the variety. So grateful to have PSYC in the neighborhood!

I can't say enough great things at Park Slope Yoga Center. The instructors are truly masterful. They also take time to learn your name and ask how you're doing. Classes are challenging (both mentally and physically) and never boring. The studio has a community vibe. Thanks PS Yoga - you've helped me in so many ways!

How can one talk about zen, when you feel completely screwed when you cannot use your Groupon promotion for $49 for 10 classes, since before buying a Groupon I went to one introductory class. It feels absolutely cheap, a commercial organization that suggests that you spend $150 for 10 classes, when Groupon promotion give you the same 10 classes for $49. How can reconcile this?

I moved to park slope and was spoiled by my yoga studio in the city. I have been practicing yoga intensely for 5 years and every class that I have taken there, I have learned something new about alignment, and have been challenged in both a mental and physical way. I have my 4 favorite teacher for very different reasons--micro attention to alignment, a lot of inversions and balancing practice, a spiritual calmness that reminds me to be calm, and a teacher who taps into all of the aforementioned qualities. I consider myself a yoga snob and I feel like I have found my new yoga home.
