Typical NYC yoga factory. Classes are hit or miss. Longtime Bikram practitioner here (over 20 yrs). Some teachers are great, some meh. The heat is also inconsistent, the small room is usually better temperature controlled - avoid the larger room if you like traditional Bikram temps bc its typically not hot enough. and on occasion i have not sweat there at all.
I wish they did more 90 min Bikram classes, they are becoming harder and harder to find. The 60 minute series dilutes the medicine. Overall a solid go to for a drop in, and easy to book online.

I absolutely love Ritual! The classes are all the same format, 50 minutes, starting with meditation, but they always challenge me and the poses and flows are unique each time. The instructors are all fantastic and encouraging and going to a Ritual class feels like doing something really nice for myself like getting a massage. I always feel calm, relaxed, and centered after. The facilities are great, clean, and organized and I like their online booking process as well. Definitely try it out if you like hot yoga!

I highly recommend this place for hot yoga. The class setup is very calming and bright, with a good amount of space. This is my first tryout and Mark, my yoga teacher, is very attentive and very helpful, kind, and his instructions are top-notch, easy, clear and precise, definitely very experienced and knows what he is doing. I am very impressed!

Never have I felt so uncomfortable at a yoga studio. As a teacher myself I know the importance of new clients and first timers. Me, arriving as a first timer had a commute issue ending up arriving 3 mins late instead of 5 min early. The receptionist was extremely rude and went to lengths to almost make me more stressed out before practicing. Once the instructor let me in, he was also extremely rude - again, NEVER been to this studio before, brand new client.
After rushing me to get in (by the way ruining the relaxing vibe for everyone else), it took about 15 min into the class for me to settle and concentrate after being treated so rudely by not one but two people within my first few minutes of being there. There was no welcome, nothing. Not even once I was done "how did you like your first class here?" They clearly are not trained in customer service, nor the core principles of yoga to begin with. Tout long yoga pose names, but if you live that harshly, you're missing the entire core of the study.
As both a yoga enthusiast and fellow teacher, I am very disappointed in my experience overall with the studio. There was also a very unpleasant odor once you got close to the ground that you could clearly smell. With all that aside: The instructor, even if they were rude, did push everyone and you'll get an insane sweat. If you can get over the attitude, unwelcomed atmosphere and bad odor, look past it- then maybe give it a try.

Unfortunately I had a circumstance come up where I got sick the night before a class but it was too late to cancel the class without losing it. The studio was extremely rude and not understanding at all of this case situation. I understand the policies they have in place for cancellations but this was a circumstance out of my control. Overall this place is not a very welcoming yoga studio and if you don't blend with the rest of the others the yoga teacher will call you out. I have never felt so judged and unwelcome in a yoga studio setting.

I went to a bikram/hot yoga class with Regina today. 75 min class. Intense but well worth it! Regina is attentive and ensures everyone is comfortable and effectively performing the yoga poses based on the individual level. I enjoyed the class very much! Make sure you are hydrated before, during and after. Ensure you bring more than a 16 oz water with you. This place offers mats and mat towels for rent but you can bring your own.

Nice studio very good instructors. The locker room is on a different floor than the yoga room, bring your own lock. The front desk is staffed so you can pop in between classes to check out the studio. You practice on a padded floor the upside is it's easy to clean the downside (for me) is balance. The only downside I felt was price, but that might be the cost of doing things in NYC

I travel often for work and often try other Bikram style studios when on the road. I was in NYC visiting from San Diego for a single day and hit this place up. Very welcoming. Super clean and comfortable studio and facilities. Charlie, our teacher, was tough as nails but encouraging too. In all my travels, I have never been to a studio even close to my San Diego school in heat. Charlie warned me I was in the hottest part of the room but, given my experiences, I figured no big deal. Well, it was truly hot yoga and it kicked my butt! In a great way! After flights, hotel beds, and irregular travel, it was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

The studio is clean and spacious. Service is great, very attentive and helpful. The instructors teaches with passion and will go around the class correcting postures and giving tips. At the end of each class, the instructors will email the participants to check in with them and seek feedback for further improvement. The passion and desire to constantly improve is inspiring. Thank you BODE for the awesome sessions.

I love my new hot yoga class at Bode, Flatiron. Checking schedules and booking a class on their app is super convenient. The on-site check-in is quick and they now charge my credit card directly for extras like mat/towel rentals, so no longer a hold-up paying with cash. The bathroom is usually pretty busy before/after a class, but I can always find a locker and even the shower line is usually just a few minutes wait. I've attended classes hosted by several instructors, and have honestly enjoyed all of them. Two thumbs up!

I love Bode! Been practicing for almost 3 months and been to two of the 4 locations (Midtown and Flatiron). Love the instructors and the positive instructions they give. The bathroom and locker rooms are always clean. The positive vibes and attitudes as well as the seriousness of the classes makes it easier to practice without distractions. I have had attended different instructors classes, all of them have been very great classes. I would recommend trying Hot Hit, and Yin Nidra as well not just the Bikram. Overall, will recommend to anyone!
