Austin Acupuncture Clinic (AAC), founded by Paul and Lisa Lin (both Certified Licensed Acupuncturists), has been serving the Austin community since 1981. AAC is the oldest acupuncture clinic in Austin, Texas. At AAC, our experienced practitioners provide traditional and modern acupuncture therapies combined with Chinese herbs to help illnesses and improve overall health.

Acupuncture is a form of healing which is several thousand years old and yet has only become part of the vocabulary of the average American in recent years. Although many people have been skeptical about acupuncture, it has increasingly gained acceptance as more and more people have been treated and helped by it.

Treatable conditions include such problems as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, sciatica, chronic headaches and pain complicating almost any medical problem which has been thoroughly diagnosed and treated but in which the pain has not been properly controlled. Other conditions that are treatable with acupuncture include deafness due to nerve problems, sinusitis, asthma, chronic diarrhea or constipation, painful menstrual periods, certain symptoms of multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions as well as other diseases.

Pills and powders are good for prolonged use, such as with the treatment of chronic disease where formulas do not need to be very potent or changed very often. Pills and powders are also commonly used after a successful initial treatment with liquid herbal medicine in order to continue therapeutic results.
