I practice acupuncture and chinese herbology, strongly influenced by the more modern movements of Paleo and Functional Medicine. Ignoring pain doesn't do anyone any good. Whether it's a recent injury or chronic pain, your joints or your muscles or even your belly, acupuncture is a good bet to help. Your mental health is important. Whether you're diagnosed and medicated, or just stressed out and want your brain to work dammit, acupuncture can help. You'd be surprised how much. Does something just not work right?
Services
Karoline Gostl has been practicing in Forest Hills since 2005, and Manhattan since 2010. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of NY, and nationally certified by the NCCAOM in chinese herbology. She is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), New York campus, with an MSTOM, that is, Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
Pain: Arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, muscle tension, repetitive stress injuries, sports injuries, etc. Mind-body related issues: insomnia, depression, anxiety, stress, exhaustion, burnout, etc. Acupuncturists see many of "patients of last resort." This often includes digestive problems (such as IBS), autoimmune disorders, and more nebulous things like fatigue.
Do you do facial rejuvenation Acupuncture? Yes. Wait, facial rejuvenation Acupuncture? What's that about? So glad you asked! Facial rejuvenation Acupuncture, sometimes called an "Acupuncture face lift, " is a series of treatments that release neck and facial tension, stimulate circulation to the face, and helps promote collagen formation in the skin.
Please, no checks. I don't get to the bank often enough to avoid confusing both your checkbook and my bookkeeping. Please notify the office at least 24 hours in advance in case of cancellation. Aside from true emergencies, in a last minute cancellation, the patient will be charged the full treatment fee.

Karoline (THE Healing Maven) is an amazing individual, and a fantastic acupuncturist. She is down to earth and radically genuine, while also being quite compassionate and caring. Her expertise as an acupuncturist is at a level of excellence that few have likely achieved, with ongoing education as part of her own self-improvement as a practitioner.
She does regular check ins and is available in between sessions if questions arise, also is able to adjust the treatment plan based on the need of the client, both short term and long term. I have fibromyalgia with prominent pain, fatigue, and brain fog, as well as GI issues, PCOS and menstrual issues, asthma, allergies, sleep apnea, and other stuff, plus some emotional challenges of depression and anxiety, all of which she has helped with the treatment she's provided.
She has been wonderful to work with, both on a professional therapeutic level and as a human being, and despite the fact that she is not in network with my insurance plan (which otherwise does cover 100% acupuncture sessions if the provider IS in network), she is worth every penny. I'm so grateful to have found her, and she has already helped me so much, I fully and highly recommend her with no hesitation!
