Dr McQuaig is a Chiropractic Physician. Her specialty and expertise is in the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD), concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), whiplash, neck, back, and extremity pain. She has advanced training in TMJD, TBI, Laser, Biodynamic and Upledger Cranial Sacral techniques and extremity adjusting.
In our clinic we blend ancient therapeutic practices with current innovative modalities that are safe and effective. This combination affords the highest potential for restoring health. Our goal is to shorten healing time and optimize patient health. We provide physical medicine, primary care, nutritional assessment and other complementary therapies.
Naturopathy addresses the biochemical and nutritional needs of our bodies. Living in modern day society we are affected by increased stress, environmental pollution, diets of nutritionally deficient foods and having more sedentary jobs and lifestyles. These factors can cause the body to be on a continuum towards a state of physiological dysfunction causing many kinds of conditions and diseases.
Chiropractic treatment facilitates better communication between the body and the brain, which helps the patient achieve a healthier state of being. Through chiropractic adjustments, rehabilitation and the use of physical therapy modalities, we can create positive physiological change in the nervous system that regulates muscle tone, movement and all functions of the body.

I really wanted to like it here. Their attitude toward children is bizarre. Perhaps I am used to the European way of warmly welcoming children everywhere, but cutting my $250 appointment short because my 20 month old (who was also a patient) is whining in his stroller was surprising. The assumption he should not join me in the future, very odd. An modern mentality upgrade is needed. It's a shame because the Dr. practices good medicine and I actually need the care.

I've been going here for a few years after having some serious health issues. Dr Ramaley was able to identify the cause of my troubles and within a month I was 80% better and within several was all better than I had been in years. I love his minimalist approach to treatment. His practice stopped taking insurance recently but they lowered their rates as a result.
You can still send a bill to your insurance for reimbursement. While not the most convenient, I still go because of how much my health has improved. Insurance is a racket and Dr Ramaley genuinely cares about being a doctor first and doing the insurance thing took away from that so I can totally understand the decision.

Responding to the review about them not taking your insurance. That is typical and just happened to me at UW Medicine where my insurance IS covered and they took down all my info - not enough docs in the dermatology clinic, so not accepting patients - crazy system we have. That is not a reflection on Seattle Natural Health but the way of the world.
I value Dr. Ramaley's work so much that I pay out of pocket and consider him my primary care - even though he isn't technically. A visit to him gets to the core and you will get better more quickly and without medication. And subsequent visits are a lesser fee.

Dr. Ramaley at Seattle Natural Health saved my 10 year old son's life and mine. We had been very sick for many years and no answers after 15 years of going to at least 25 different allopathic MD's. They basically gave me prescriptions for symptom control but no one was willing to take an in depth look. They kept telling me I was fine. Having one foot on the other side, I came here with not much hope for a different outcome.
I am so glad I took a chance. Dr. Ramaley looked over my extensive timeline health log and all symptoms, 5 pages long. He took the time to be a good investigator. Turns out we had a life threatening infection that left untreated can be fatal. Dr. Ramaley is my hero. He has helped many others I have sent his way too. Dr. McQuaig is an excellent chiropractor as well. Between the chiro and cranial sacral she does for me, the chronic pain is no longer chronic. The front office staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well, highly recommend!

These folks took down lots of personal info and then told me they " wouldn't be able to work with my insurance company." (I have excellent insurance, so this is a first.) Because of their very high rate ($170 for a contractor visit), I won't be doing business here. I sure hope the doctors know that their receptionist is turning away new clients (after violating their privacy).
