Netra Eye Institute
Holistic Eye Care Center
"Netra Eye Institute specializes in holistic treatments for various eye conditions by integrating acupuncture, Ayurveda, and herbal medicine. Their signature approach, Netra Restoration Therapy (NRT), aims to restore vision naturally without surgical intervention. Patients often report noticeable improvements within two weeks of starting treatment.

The institute addresses a range of eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, keratoconus, myopia, dry eyes, and retinal occlusion. Their treatments focus on enhancing visual acuity, perceiving more vibrant colors, improving light perception, and reducing photophobia. Additionally, many patients experience overall health improvements, as the therapies also target other internal disorders.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurvedic Medicine form the foundation of their treatment modalities. TCM, with over 2,000 years of history, utilizes acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat and prevent a wide range of eye disorders. Similarly, Ayurveda, originating in India more than 5,000 years ago, employs therapies like Panchakarma and herbal medicine to address numerous eye conditions.

Located in South Plainfield, New Jersey, Netra Eye Institute offers services to both local and global patients. They provide online appointment scheduling and accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for payment. Prospective patients can contact the institute to determine their eligibility for NRT and to discuss potential treatment plans."

Alternative Medicine for Glaucoma Elevated intraocular pressure is not the sole risk factor for glaucoma. The primary approach to treating glaucoma has traditionally been reducing intraocular pressure with eye drops.
Macular Degeneration Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a retinal condition that causes a gradual loss of central vision. There are two forms of this disease: dry and wet. Early intervention is key to preventing further deterioration of vision. Our treatment plans focus on slowing disease progression and improving your quality of life.
Diabetic Retinopathy Diabetic retinopathy is a condition in which the retinas small blood vessels become damaged due to uncontrolled diabetes, causing vision problems. Over time, fluid leakage and new abnormal blood vessels can contribute to severe vision loss. Keeping blood sugar levels stable can help prevent or slow down the advancement of the condition.
Myopia Treatment Myopia, commonly known as nearsightedness, occurs when the eye cannot properly focus on distant objects. This refractive error leads to clear vision up close but blurry vision at a distance. It affects about 25% of Americans and can be inherited. Myopia typically begins in childhood and may worsen during adolescence.
Dry Eyes Dry eye is a condition where there is insufficient tear production or poor tear quality, leading to discomfort and vision problems. It is common among older adults, but can also affect individuals of all ages. Dry eyes may cause irritation, dryness, and blurred vision. Environmental factors, medications, and underlying health conditions can contribute to the condition.
Acupuncture Acupuncture works to enhance the body's overall function by stimulating specific points known as acupoints. This process encourages the bodys natural ability to heal itself. The primary technique for stimulating these points involves inserting fine, sterile needles into the skin. In addition, the effects can be amplified through heat, pressure, or electrical stimulation. Other methods of stimulating acupoints include massage, cupping, moxibustion, and applying herbal treatments or linaments.

The Doctor combines the best of Chinese and Indian medicine to heal issues for which there appear to be no other solutions. In my case, I presented with glaucoma with 20/30 vision and a small loss in peripheral vision. The doctor restored my vision to 20/15 and improved the visual field in my left eye so that it is normal and the visual field in my right eye so that it is almost normal.

Dr. Sai is god-sent for me, when i had developed a vision issue that doesnt have a "name" in western medicine. I feel lucky to stumble on this gem searching for alternative treatments. Dr. Sai is not only an acupuncturist but has deep knowledge of traditional treatment styles in chinese, tibetan and ayurvedic medicines. Under his care, i am almost back up there doing my normal lifestyle.

He is very dedicated in helping his patients recover- to the extent that when the treatment demanded - he volunteered to open his office on weekends, just only for me. You are in good hands here. Just trust him and let his magic work. {this review is truly not for his clinic but for the patients like me who are wandering for a cure for their unexplained vision issues. }
