As a registered nurse, I had used all that Western medicine could offer me for management of a variety of symptoms from late Lyme disease including tachycardia, neuropathy (shin numbness and hot feet), fatigue, and nausea. Despite medications, my symptoms persisted prompting me to seek consultation with Dr. Shi at the East Yale Loop location. Dr. Shi is so incredibly knowledgeable and skilled- I am so very glad to add him to my healthcare team.

Within a few appointments, I regained sensation in my shin and after several appointments, my hot feet dramatically improved. Not only am I almost off my nerve medication, but I can also wear socks and closed shoes! Anytime I've been nauseous, all I need to feel better is one simple needle. We continue to work on my tachycardia, which I recently discovered is related to mold exposure.

I'm confident once I've had my mold remediated, that my tachycardia will improve with Dr. Shi's amazing care! I highly recommend and am grateful to Dr. Shi and Dragon Acupuncture!

I had numbness on my left shoulder/arm during pregnancy (having to sleep on one side) and it worsen after I gave birth. It was difficult to hold my baby at times bc the tingling sensation was intense. I went to Dr. Shi for a few sessions and he was able to alleviate the numbness. Thank you, Dr. Shi! After a severe shoulder injury, we were sure surgery was the only option to relieve the pain. After only 1 treatment, he was in tears of relief that only continued through our other visits. Dr. Shi have hope when there was none and relief when we thought it wasn't possible. I would recommend this office to everyone.

A true healer and exceptionally skilled practitioner. My wife and I have been clients of Dr Shi at Dragon Acupuncture for six years. His techniques and talent have allowed us to avoid trips to the Emergency Room on several occasions where I believe that we would have only been given high dose pain medication and a referral to a physical therapist. Dr Zhao has been treating me for the past week and already I feel so much better. I haven't had a migraine in three day which isn't the norm for me. I also had back pain for the last 10 days and the lower back is now pain free. My shoulder blade is still causing me trouble but getting better. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Zhao.

Great experience at Dragon Acupuncture & Herb Center. I tried acupuncture for the first time and I feel great.

I suffered from acute insomnia for the past two weeks. Even prescribed sleeping pills did not help me. I felt so hopeless and decided to try acupuncture. After the 1st treatment from Dr. Min Shi, I got 5 hours of sleep. After the 2nd treatment, I had a full night of sleep! I am so grateful to Dr. Shi!

I walked into my appointment with Dr Shi experiencing 6/15 knee pain and can not walk. After I talked about with Dr Shi. I found he is super professional, knowledgeable and caring. After treatment (acupuncture, massage) When I stand up I found I can walk as normal. They have been a great help for me. My elbow was aching up right before I was headed out on a river rafting trip. The session helped me feel confident and my recovery was greatly improved.

My foot had been in a cast for 2 1/2 months, no improvement. In just 4 sessions, it's almost completely healed...with Dr. Zhao's acupuncture treatment! She is so warm and so masterfully talented.

I had been to my medical doctor, my endocrinologist, and an oral surgeon and they were not able to help me with my problem. I developed swelling in my neck area and the problem was ongoing and unable to resolve for three months, even with Motrin, steroids, and antibiotics prescribed. After undergoing an ultrasound and CT scan and being told that there was nothing more that could be done, I was still experiencing much discomfort from the swelling to the point that my swallowing was impacted. Dr. Shi was the only doctor that alleviated my symptoms.

She has been very kind and reassuring. The swelling is decreasing and I have been able to resume most of my daily activities. I am grateful that Dr. Shi was able to help me. She was able to pinpoint where in my muscle near my neck the problem stemmed and with her acupuncture, I have seen the difference and my discomfort is gone. I was not sure if the problem had related from a pulled muscle from working out but questioned all the previous doctors about whether that could have been a factor, but none of them were able to figure it out, except for Dr. Shi. She is well experienced and Dragon Acupuncture has provided top quality care to both me and my husband (who was experiencing back problems at the same time)!

I woke up one day with very severe back pains...my primary care physician prescribed muscle relaxant and pain killers... nothing worked.... referrals to specialist took forever with kaiser.... i optioned to try accupuncture....
dr Minh diangnosed a pinched nerve and after a single treatment the pain was much better... a few additional treatments and the back feels good...

Dr. Shi is great. He really knows his stuff. I’ve been going twice a week for about a month now and he has fixed so many things. I had a pain under my ribs, near my stomach that I was really scared would end up needing surgery or something crazy. Dr. Shi sent electrical impulses into my back muscles and made the pain go away. Amazing. I’ve been to other acupuncturists, and while I’ve never had a bad experience, Dr. Shi certainly seems to be the most knowledgeable. He readily answers all my questions and seems genuinely excited about what he does.

I have been in pain for over 2 years. I went to many doctors for my pain, everyone would say we can take care of it but, the pain never got better. Then one day I was talking to someone at the health food store and they told me about acupuncture. I developed a migraine headache that lasted for over 45 days, seeing every doctor I could, including a psychiatrist, neurologist, allergist and dentist with no relief. I finally found my way to Dragon Acupuncture Center. For the first time in 7 weeks I started to feel better and within 2 weeks of treatment I was back to my old self. I can't begin to recommend Prof Min Shi and Prof Huifang Zhao highly enough.

For those who have had migraines can tell you there is nothing worse. If only I had not wasted precious time and money the quality of my life would have been returned far sooner. They truly are the best.
