I grew up in the Midwest and for 10 years I worked in small health food shops, which allowed me to speak to many people who had decided to take health care into their own hands. I listened to their experiences with all types of medicine and it was around this time that I started hearing about Naturopathic Medicine. I started reading about this medicine and immediately I was inspired to become a Naturopathic doctor and to help those who could not find relief from their illness.

HORRIBLE experiences here. I've seen Sarah a few times for my baby and once, Emily for myself. One. They will cancel appointments with less then than 30min notice. (The amount of time it takes to drive there for me) it's happened multiple times. 2. Sarah is VERY unprofessional. Bad beside manner and doesn't take your concerns seriously. For one example, You will bring up suggesting your baby take probiotics and she completely just cuts you off with a condescending NO.
That's just one of many poor communication with her. I have now moved to a wonderful new DR and she was shocked that of all things, a "natural Dr" wouldn't encourage taking probiotics!? Which has now help my baby tremendously. That being said, they call themselves naturalpathic Doctors, but they are just pretending to be.

Dr. Joseph Garrett succeeded in diagnosing me with hydrogen dominant SIBO, whereas other doctors I had visited for over a year had no clue what was going on. His approach was kind, understanding, and he took the time to listen to me, not just chart down my symptoms and suggest a magic pharma pill. Dr. Garrett was successful in diagnosing me with methane based SIBO. I had been working with several traditional doctors prior to visiting him (over 2 years) and was amazed at his ability to quickly assess my situation and provide not only a quick diagnosis, but also get me on the road to recovery. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with this issue, as he provided care and guidance through the whole recovery. Having SIBO is not a pleasant thing to live with, so I feel extremely fortunate in finding someone as caring and compassionate as Dr. Garrett.

I have worked with Dr. Sarah and Joseph Garrett for six years now. As someone who struggles with anxiety related to medicine and doctors, as well as someone who has had three surgeries in the last few years, I can say with confidence that working with this clinic has been a life saver! When I had a fever of 103 back in December 2019, I emailed the client portal and I received a response quickly (On a Saturday!) with orders to get labs and recommendations for treatment that very day.
When my husband and I needed a COVID test, they scheduled us the very next day and it was a hassle free experience. I have many more examples of this kind of exceptional service. They treat my concerns with urgency and concern. They go out of their way to explain things so I understand them. I cant count the times I have cried in this office.tears of joy, fear, and warmth. I've always felt comforted by them. They have been with me through so much and I genuinely feel loved and cared for by this office. Thank you!

I would give Dr. Joseph Garrett and his office a "10" star rating if I could! I have seen nearly 30 doctors/specialists over the past several years desperately seeking help for my many debilitating chronic systems. Finally, I have found a Dr. who is getting to the root of my problems. Dr. Garrett is a great listener and goes over all your labs and diagnosis in great detail in a manner you can understand. He is smart, has a wonderfully calm demeanor and is never rushed. He is caring and highly invested in my helping me regain my health! I am beyond thankful to have found him!

Dr. Sarah Garrett is one of the most empathetic and considerate doctors I've ever had an appointment with. I feel listened to and like my concerns are valid. Since I am from out of state, my insurance is wonky, but they really work to find prescriptions and mental health therapists that I can afford.

Fairhaven Integrative Health is THE BEST! They take all our insurance (and we don't have the good kind), are always helpful and have fantastic bedside manner. My favorite part is because they are a husband/wife team, the males in our household can see Dr Joe and the females in our household can see Dr Sarah. While I didn't initially realize the importance of this, it's been incredible to see how our family reacts to the doctor that they are most comfortable with.
