Our practice philosophy of Wellness and Health maintenance supports use of Annual Physicals for unmasking new problems, Preventive Care and screening, to avoid health issues, and Management of Chronic Conditions you may already have. This uses Sick visits, Well visits, and Follow-Up Rechecks. Hospital inpatient care is also available, as Dr. Korcz holds privileges at UAB-Medwest.
We strive to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow with the balance and feel of old- time medicine. This incorporates the use of technology, electronic medical records, and scientifically proven therapy, with a higher level of care, listening, and compassion than most of our patients are used to receiving at their prior Healthcare experiences. Many patients have shed tears of joy and hope in response to the difference we have made in their lives.

Practice Manager
Mr. Matthew Korcz is an accomplished professional in the Advertising and Marketing arena. He has spent many years focused on Internet and recruitment advertising. Now, however, he is stepping into the world of medicine with Dr. Korcz and helping to run Hoover Alt MD. For years, he felt only partially fulfilled in his career, and was drawn to a more service-oriented field. He decided, finally, to join Dr. Korcz in ministering to the physical and emotional needs of his neighbors in Hoover and beyond.
Skilled with an honors Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Business Administration, he is a perfect addition to the staff at your Medical Home. Mr. Korcz is a personable, warm, and friendly gentleman, with a caring spirit. He is helping with Reception, Sales, and running the business end of the Practice. Feel free to ask him questions about Hoover Alt MD, and to address any billing concerns or marketing opportunities.
Outside the office, Matthew enjoys being a great Father to the three Korcz children, and a supportive husband to Dr. Korcz. Other interests include photography, singing, acting, the occasional Horror Movie, and being a clown to make others laugh.

Yes, it was crazy walking in. They were short handed by 2 staff and trying to do interviews at the same time. I had the last app't of the day and got in to see Dr. Korce after 20 minutes- not too bad of a wait. She is very real and down to earth. She came out into the waiting room to talk to some of her patients before seeing them. No, the office is not stiff and probably not the most professional, but they care about people!
She spent at least 45 minutes with me and never in all my 50 years have I ever had a Dr. so interested in getting to know me as a new patient than I had with Dr. Korce. My husband said he had never heard me this excited about a Dr.'s visit! I have been waiting forever to find a Dr. that is medically trained and also believes in alternative medicine unlike other doctors who are always pushing pharmaceuticals just to get a cut and keep you sick.
This is a cutting edge office from scarce beginnings with a big vision that I hope will take off and go far in the medical arena. The products that are sold really help and are not overpriced. My husband is going to see Dr. Korce and hopefully get off the unnecessary medications that his physician of 7 years have put him on.

There was a long wait, but later learned this Dr. takes more time with her patients than any doc I have EVER seen- to actually TALK to them and ask about their health and well-being. She was open minded and wanted to learn about the whole person she was treating, not just symptoms. I will go back again, recommend and say it is worth the wait to receive holistic genuine care.

I have gone to Dr. Korcz on several different occasions and each time I go, there are different office staff there who do not seem to know what they are doing. Staff are quite rude, as well as Dr. Korcz when she falls behind in seeing scheduled patients, she enters the waiting room and shouts for receptionist to reschedule the rest of her day. The entire setting is not professional, staff never documents anything on the patients and Dr. Korcz now wants you to pay $50.00 before scheduling an appointment.

I have never witnessed anything like this place the doctor reuses plastic speculums amongst other things that are one time use. I am outraged how absolutely disgusting are you? I will never ever go to this place again. And the receptionist is not cheerful at all, the doctor is below average. If you want to have the feel of a spa (quiet, relaxing, peaceful) then you may as well go somewhere else b/c this place was ridiculous.

This doctor/practice is so horrible that I have filed complaints with HIPPA due to the things i have noticed in the office. Also the front desk receptionist is so rude, unfriendly and is always talking badly of the rest of the staff. She was very sloppy and unpleasant. The nurses in the back were very kind and the ONLY reason i stayed and waited.

I heard her advertisement on a Christian radio station and was immediately interested in her practice. A Christian doctor was what I was looking for. When I got to her practice, I found the receptionist to be very rude and disrespectful. She was checking her Facebook page on her cell phone in the middle of processing my payment. I had to ask her several times to give my credit card back.
The doctor's assistant talked to much; and the doctor herself looked very homely. She didn't look like she was a doctor. Her appearance was not professional at all. She was rude to me as soon as she stepped into the exam room. She tried to diagnose me with conditions that I did not have before she ran any type of test on me. I found it to be very offensive.
I'm a professional just like she is and I expect to be treated better. I will never go back to that practice. Since my visit, I've been contacted at least three times by her office to see why I won't come back. I tell the nice nurse every time that it is the doctor. I didn't appreciate her diagnosing me with conditions that I didn't have.

Don't understand why so many people are giving bad reviews. She was one of the best docs I've ever seen and listened and checked my vitals, bp, and asked numerous health questions. She was interested in my overall health not just the health problem that i am suffereing from the greatest. In my opinion, some of the bad reviews she is getting lately is from a company (not gonna mention any names but they are not a "1st choice" for referrals.
This company refers patients to her and is very incompetent at it.
Sending people to her at the wrong times and dates after they drove many miles to see this great doctor. The performance of this referral company is unacceptable but sometimes nessesary to establish a steady patient base. My advise to her would be to drop this company and the problems they cause and work with one that is not just in it to make a buck off of sick people. But DR. Korcz is a great doctor, no doubt.

I was very excited about seeing Dr. Kortz after a referal from a friend. Upon ariving for my appointment I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The problem occurred when I went to the exam room to meet with Dr. Korcz. I have never done this before, but after listening to her tirade for a few minutes, I interrupted her and let her know that I was not interested in being a patient at Hoover ALT.
Medicine and left the exam room. I forgot about the incident untill today when I received a notification that I was 90 days past due on my 25.00 co pay from that visit. The first letter I receive from this practice is a 90 day past due notice! Also I found they billed my insurance for 225.00 as well! I would advise any one looking to find a doctor who uses ALT Medicine to look else where.
