If you have ever noticed a physical response to an emotional situation, or if your moods are significantly influenced by the way you feel physically, you may want to consider acupuncture. Jessica Yunker is a licensed acupuncturist who is passionate about helping you feel better. Jessica is truly excited about acupuncture and its potential to improve your health and your life. I am pleased and honored to provide high-quality, attentive, friendly care to those in need of healing. My practice is dedicated to helping people with physical and mental health concerns. I am especially interested in the ways the body and the mind influence each other. Acupuncture is the perfect tool for addressing both, together.
Acupuncture is a complete medical system, using a variety of techniques and addressing many conditions. Here are all the details about what we do and how we do it. Acupuncture can treat a huge range of conditions, from acute to chronic, and mild to severe. Here is a list of conditions we commonly treat with acupuncture. Interested in how acupuncture works? Learn more about acupuncture, qi (energy), and principles of yin and yang as they related to Chinese medicine.
Acupuncture uses very fine needles inserted at specific points on the body. These points are found along channels (also called meridians) which flow all over the body, forming a network. Gentle stimulation of these points allows vital substances such as qi (energy) and blood to flow freely, which stops pain, improves circulation, and promotes healing.
Acupuncture involves placing very thin, flexible needles at specific points along the channels that cover your whole body. These points are chosen in a number of ways. Sometimes the acupuncturist will place points in or near the area causing pain, or along channels that relate to the area of pain. Some points are chosen because they are sensitive to pressure.
Chinese herbs can help you heal from many types of illness. They can be used in conjunction with acupuncture or by themselves. Herbs are very useful in the treatment of chronic conditions, such as fertility and menstrual issues, and mood disorders; they can also be used for more short-term or acute conditions, such as bronchitis or seasonal allergies.

Last fall I began to have an upset stomach and I was emotionally upset. I thought acupuncture might help because I didn't feel
western medicine was going to cure me. After doing a search on the internet, I began to read Jessica's bio. Part of her philosophy is to understand how emotions can effect a person's well-being. After being a patient of Jessica's, I feel my life has stabilized emotionally, and physically my health has improved. I look forward to my treatments as a place where I can relax from this chaotic world.
