It's literally crazy that a yoga center only allows students that had injected themselves with a complex and toxic chemical compound that literally kills and harms people regardless of age. It's the opposite of health, peace, compassion or clarity. It's loyally slaving to big pharma. If the so called enlightened people don't understand the harm from vaccines, and mandate them, then where can people find solace and light? At least now we see the organizers' true nature. So disappointed.

Shoshoni is a truly magical place! I enjoyed every part of my weekend there, loving the freedom to participate in whatever spoke to me. The location creates a sense of calm in my heart with its serene beauty. The delightful and healthy food is made with love and the yoga instruction is deeply-rooted and true. Our accommodations were clean and spacious.
I enjoyed the fire ceremony and meditation with kirtan in the gorgeous temple, even as a person who does not ascribe to religion. One windy day my friends and I puttered about in the art cabin, and the other we hiked to the Buddha Rocks and Rollins Peak with its impressive 360 views. Most of all, everyone who nurtured this experience for us had a kindness and lightness that shone through from all they practice there. My friends and I had a relaxing, joyous, and connected experience that rippled into our lives after the visit. Thank you, Shoshoni.

Shoshoni and the people there have been such an inspiration. When I found out about their yoga teacher training a week before it started, with no knowledge of Shoshoni/ShambavAnanda past what I could find on the internet, I jumped in given the great reviews and the fact that they appeared to take yoga seriously. I had no idea I would come out the other side changed for the better as a person, better as a practitioner of yoga asanas, and as someone who finds comfort and learning through meditation and mantra (fairly new to me prior).
They also prepared me extremely well as a yoga teacher, and the effect the people there have had on me in 3 weeks has been profound and life changing. I learned so much more than I ever expected at a YTT and I see why they get such good reviews. I now see yoga as a way to be a better version of myself (and for my future students) mentally, spiritually, and physically, at a very fundamental level, and not just as a way to stay in shape and be flexible.
I said that they take yoga "seriously"- and they do- but always with laughter, plenty of breaks, activities, and always modify/accommodate. The food is incredible and made by the instructors who are also the staff; it is clearly made fresh and with love. They are also extremely accommodating and helpful, and again just inspiring and wonderful humans to be around and spend time with.
The hiking trails nearby are well marked and take you to fantastic vistas, right from the lodge. I didn't have a car and probably hiked more than anyone when I was there, so access is great. Mats, yoga props, bath towels, toiletries, tea/coffee/water/fruit are always available, there's a hot tub and sauna that are well maintained. I can't say anything negative about this place.
I have a loving family back home and I missed them terribly, but I was sad to leave Shoshoni. I will be back one day, I hope. If you have the opportunity to do a weekend retreat, or YTT or mediation training here, you should jump at the opportunity. I'm glad I did.

Shoshoni is my favorite place on Earth! I've been visiting for 12 years on yoga retreats and as a work study student. The meditation practices keep me coming back, because they are real and authentic. My life is so much better when I meditate and Shoshoni taught me how. I love the lovingly prepared food, the kind residents and teachers, the beautiful temples filled with sacred art, and the sweet dogs who will hike with you on the trails of the 200-acre property.
Remember a headlamp, snow boots, scarf & mittens, long skirts or dress slacks for temple, and a swim suit for the sauna and hot tub. Only AT&T has service and there's wi-fi in all the buildings, but do yourself a favor and put your email on out of office, put your phone on airplane mode, and tell loved ones to call the office if they really need to reach you. This is the perfect place for introverts and highly sensitive people to unwind and turn their attention inside.

I first came to Shoshoni to finish my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2006. Shoshoni has deep roots in Yogic Tradition. It was through Shoshoni's structure that I developed my own structure for my spiritual practice. I've come to community (sangha) gatherings here over the years and I've always left feeling uplifted with my energetic bucket filled. I love the fire temple, it is such a magical space. The food is so nourishing. The staff is full of love.

What a wonderful experience and getaway from the daily grind! My parents bought me a gift certificate here after going themselves. I finally got to use it and can't say enough good things. For $500 total, my girlfriend and I got to spend Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon here in a king bed cottage. In that price, we were able to practice Hatha yoga with several different wonderful teachers, were fed 3 fresh meals a day (gluten free and dairy free options available for each meal!), participated in various meditation classes, art classes, and ceremonial Buddhist/Hindu song and dance.
Several wonderful hiking trails around the area in your free time. There are other activities you can do too: sand volleyball court, kayaking in the pond, hammocks by pond to relax in. A wonderful sweet puppy named Yuki (pictured) that lives on the property that walked along with us on the trails. All the staff are so kind and accommodating. There is a reason this place has been around since the late 1980s. You won't find a better deal for an adult getaway yoga retreat in Colorado!

Shoshoni is absolutely magical. Attended an overnight anytime Retreat and had a blast. The schedule is constructed well and offers many options for any visitors taste. The vegetarian meals were delicious! The staff goes above and beyond to know each guests name and special needs that may have (physical, dietary, etc). The family style set up offers many opportunities to get to know the many people that are coming from various walks of life. Bring appreciate attire to enter the main Temple and ceremonies. Yoga attire is acceptable in all other areas.
