She has over 30 years of private practice. Dr. Hu is Board Certified by theNational Commission of Certification in both acupuncture and Herbology and is currently a clinical Research Facilities Committee member at U.C. Irvine Center for the Study of Complementary Health Care. Dr. Hu specialized in pain management by acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Advanced Acupuncture is an amazing place. I heard about them from a friend. It is always difficult finding a place you can truly trust. I have been coming here at least once or twice a week since August 2021. Dr. Hu has been amazing. She has been helping me as I go through my cancer treatments. She is very thorough in providing relief for the pain I experience while receiving treatments and extensive testing. Dr. Hu truly listens to me when I share my experiences and frustrations working with other doctors.
I feel most doctors do not take the time to sit down and truly listen to the patient. Dr. Hu takes the time to listen and provides relief for the pain but also helps in other areas of my life. I feel Dr. Hu truly cares about people and loves what she does to help others. I would be lost without Dr. Hu's guidance and encouragement. She has helped me in so many ways as I continue working through my cancer treatments.
The office and medical staff are also very helpful and courteous to me and other patients. They take the time to listen and help answer my questions. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Advanced Acupuncture truly cares about people. Being in the office is so comforting and relaxing it sometimes feels like I am going for a spa treatment. I am so relaxed and at peace after my visits.

When I walked into the acupuncture room, my first impression of the room was fresh, clean, and organized. Overall, the room had such healing energy. Nurses Zina and Wint, always with radiant smiles, attend every single patient with such care and love at the clinic. Dr. Cathryn Hu is a wonderful, skillful, and caring doctor. Her moral and spiritual beliefs are admirable and respectful. Indeed, Dr. Hu is a "Miracle Doctor." From the bottom of my heart, I really appreciate everything Dr. Hu has done for her patients.
