26 yrs ago, after suffering massive head and neck injuries I had been living 8 yrs in a neck-brace and arm sling for 80% of the time. Having been evaluated by 11 physicians plus 7 of the top medical centers in the USA, including Mayo Clinic, I had 17 sets of nerve blocks, plus surgeries without relief. Because of the severity, at best Mayo could only offer to 'keep me comfortable (prescribed drugs inc. injectables) Bloated, sad, sick and frustrated from all of it, I knew I was on a slow road to death. Thankfully, a door opened for change. Arriving from China just days earlier, I met Master Shengli Wang, becoming his third patient. Driving from mid-MI, and due diligence, In 3 short months, step by step, using various Chinese therapies, plus herbal tonics, I had weaned off all Western meds, I was out of the arm sling, using the neck brace rarely.
In 5 months, I was brace free, on my way to complete freedom. Master Wang became my main Dr. Over 18 years, he not only healed the neck/head issue but shrunk-dissolved fibroid tumors, balanced hormones, flu symptoms, etc. and years later, fixed a drop foot by reconnecting a nerve in my back. I watched and learned allot over the years I spent with Master Wang.
Unlike other Chinese Dr's. and Acupuncturists, he incorporates energy work with his acupuncture and other treatments. (powerful) I can only say with every mile driven from mid-MI and due diligence, I have my life back. That alone is priceless. I cannot recommend him enough.

Firstly, if you feel comfortable with an acupuncturist or other health care provider and you are satisfied with the results, then you should continue to use that provider. For me though, I don't buy this guy and I hope this review helps others in there decision. I have been to acupuncturists in Australia, throughout Asia, Europe, and many cities in the US.
None have been as uninterested in a patient or their ailment as this guy. This is you and your body - DEMAND communication with your provider and run away from those (like Dragon's Life Systems) that do not speak to you to find out the problem. A true acupuncturist treats the WHOLE body not just localized pain. For instance, for a lower back issue (what I visited this guy for) a common location for needles is BL40 (behind the knee) and BL60 (behind the ankle to help strengthen the lumbar).
In addition, a true acupuncturist would discuss the issue with the patient to see if there may be other causes that relate to it. A common part of Chinese (or any) medicine. So for me, if this guy had bothered to talk to me beyond saying "where is pain?" he would have found out that I had tight hamstrings and hips that might be causing the problem.
He could have used needles in UB65 (on the side of the foot - good for lumbar and leg pain), and BL57 (lower leg) and on and on and on. I have even had acupuncturists needle in between my toes. This is true acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Remember, the cause of the pain may not always be where the pain is. My visit to this guy consisted of him saying "where is pain?", putting two needles only into my lower back, telling me to lie down for 20 minutes ($60 for 20 min so in reality he is charging $180 an hour - think about that for a minute) and then he came in and said "come and see me again". NO WAY. HE ALSO CHARGES FOR EACH TREATMENT AREA.
So for me to get a proper treatment of lower back, hamstrings, hips and lower leg it would have cost me $240 for one visit (thankfully I saw sense and only paid for one area). I seriously hope people stop paying this ridiculous price for such sub-standard treatment. People on here say they are happy with him and he's amazing. That's fine, keep seeing him and let him fleece your money.
Just take the time to do a bit of research and visit one or two other acupuncturists to get an idea of what is truly involved and what a really good treatment could do for you. One Yelp reviewer said he was still visiting this guy after 26 treatments for a shoulder issue after this guy said it would take 10 treatments. STOP SEEING THIS GUY and go elsewhere because if he can't fix something in 26 visits (even after 10) he obviously is not very good.
In fact it was this review that spurned me to write this review of my own experience. I saw this guy to get my lower back right for a skiing trip earlier this year. He failed. I then did some research and I went and saw another (Chinese educated) acupuncturist who spoke at length with me about my issues, treated my hamstrings and I had needles from my neck, middle and lower back, hamstrings, hips, knees, feet. plus she placed a heat lamp on the area, TENS clamps on some needles to help get blood flowing and ended with cupping.
It was over 1.5 hour treatment and cost $60. I was fine after two treatments and no issues while skiing. in fact my wife said I was skiing better than ever! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere other than Dragon's Life Systems. If I could give him zero stars I would, because to me, that is all he warrants.

I saw Dr. Wang for several ailments over the years. He was great for things like minor aches and pains, headaches and insomnia. But, he totally missed the boat on my last illness. He told me he had a "third eye" and could see what was ailing me. Based on prior experiences, I trusted him. I saw him 3 times a week for months and just kept getting sicker.
It turns out I have an autoimmune disease and his treatments did not help at all. It has taken me 3 years, and the support of Western medicine and a naturopath to get healthy. Dr. Wang did not run a single test. His "third eye" was not seeing very well on me.

Dr. Wang usually does a good job. I think he takes more of a quality over quantity approach. He's never done cupping, acupuncture, massage all in the same session. A session usually consists of his putting a few needles in and letting you rest. I have gone in there on numerous occasion for some TMJ issues. I have gone to other acupuncturists for the same problem, but Wang has been the only one who's been able to relieve the problem. He never says much, which can be frustrating when you're looking for some insight on the problem. But he does deliver results, which is what counts.

I recently saw Dr. Wang for an ailment I could not figure out. He immediately diagnosed the condition as a symptom of stress. After the first treatment I felt much better- by the second visit I was symptom free. He is a true healer- I would recommend Dr. Wang to anyone who is willing to open their mind and seek a treatment that is out-of-the-box. I will continue to use Dragon's Life systems as a part of my weekly health program- the experience was truly extraordinary.

Sheng is a real healer, and can pin point your problem immediately and diagnosis it. I have had success with him with my shoulder after I have tried just about everything you could think of except surgery. Although I think his prognosis on how many treatments it will take is arbitrary. He said my shoulder was "easy" and would be fixed in under 10 visits.
I am now on visit 26 in under a year and it's still not cured. Went in for my wrist recently and he made that feel much better in one visit. As someone mentioned a downside is he won't work on more than one problem at a time unless you pay double. Also as someone mentioned, he communicates very little, so if you want to ask questions about what's going on, or advise, expect very short answers.

Mr. Wang was highly recommended to me by a friend. My husband and I both saw Mr. Wang for different aliments. My husband broke his ankle 15 years ago in college and had been living with pain. He had a very difficult time working out, walking etc. My husband was very skeptical on this working, but I told him it was worth a try. Mr. Wang did his thing and put needles in my husband's ankle.
After his first visit, my husband come out of the appointment with a surreal look on his face and shocked that he had relief. I went to see Mr. Wang when I was 41-weeks pregnant (overdue) to help induce labor. I wanted to avoid having my water broke by the doctor and wanted it to break on its own. I went in on a Sunday at 2pm to Mr. Wang's office for acupuncture, and that night at 11:30pm my water broke. Mr. Wang is a kind and gentle person who has a "strong" sense of how to get you back in balance and/or ease or cure your aliment. I highly recommend people who are looking for alternative solutions to seek acupuncture with Dr. Wang.

Master Wang is a gifted acupuncture practitioner. He has told me that I have a cold or flu 1 to 3 days before I have experienced any symptoms just by feeling my pulses. He makes it clear that he is not practicing medicine-he is only licensed to practice acupuncture, but he is a Chinese medical doctor. I seek his aid first for any ailment because typically Chinese medicine can cure many things Western medicine can only treat the symptoms of.
He has cured me of allergies, an enlarged prostate and helped relieve stress and increase energy. My only complaint is that he does not want to treat more than one condition at a time unless you pay for each problem separately. No other practitioners of which I am aware have this same payment structure and it seems unfair to me.

If you ever want to change your life and your body. Pain anywhere or you become sick, flu, migrains, sinus issues, broken bones. Dr. Wang has X-Ray eyes. I went to a orthopedic after braking my elbow, he said therapy for at least 3 months you will never be able to straighten your arm out. Went to Dr. Wang and 2 sessions @ 60.00 each Pain gone, arm straightens and never have had problems since.
It has been 2 years. I never go to Doctors anymore I go see him. He also has a location in Downers Grove. His herbs are the best ones and very inexpensive. I would highly highly recommend him and also check out his book in his office of all the people and children he has changed lives for. We are very lucky to have him. Johnny from WGN she goes to him. She had lost her taste buds and smell and know she has both back.

My life has seriously changed since I first found Dr. Wang and his little 1 yellow pages ad in 2007. I was suffering from insomnia for at least 3 months. I exhausted all other options, and decided to give acupuncture a try. I saw him, had 6 or 8 needles gently stuck into me (there is no pain), was in a dark, quiet room for 30 minutes, paid my $60 and went home.
And slept. For 14 hours straight. Since then I've seen him for the flu, shoulder pain, stress, back pain (which 2 massage therapists and a chiropractor couldn't fix, and he fixes it in 3 sessions) which ended up being a herniated disc, and a ton of other ailments, and I, along with everyone that I've recommended to see him, have left singing his praises. Screw my $35 co pay to see a doctor who tells me they don't know what is wrong, and here's some meds to make you feel better, when I can see Dr Wang and be better than I could have imagined without any drugs, and at a similar cost.
He doesn't say much to you, unless you ask. Take a moment. He's a lovely gentleman, and everyone working at Dragon's Life has a good heart and really listen to you to help you get better. He has a gift. He's the real deal. I wouldn't see anyone other than him. I only wish I could've met him years ago, when my mom was sick with cancer.
I know he could've done something for her. He has the Ravenwood location Wed, Fri & Sunday. and a Downers Grove location Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. I've driven all the way out to see him in Downers Grove when I couldn't wait another day to see him. And he's always fixed whatever was wrong with me. Give it a try - it will change your life. Really.
