She instantly fell in love with yoga and all the benefits. She loved the way yoga makes you feel and the quality of your mindset after leaving a practice. Recovering from a back issue a few years ago yoga was a great way to work your core muscles, build strength with a whole body workout and really helped in pain management for her back.
Community is important to the Yoga Loft, you, who make up our community and the community that supports us. As a way of paying it forward we host Community Classes at the Yoga Loft where all of the proceeds go to a community cause or a family in our community. If you have ideas you'd like to share please contact us thru the contact us form and tell us about the cause you are passionate about. This month's Community Classes will be paying it forward to some of our dear yogis who have recently suffered a loss in the family.
The Yoga Amistad of Massachusetts was created to help bring together local yoga teachers and students in order to provide the best possible yoga instruction we can by lending support, sharing ideas, asking and answering questions, and continuing to educate ourselves and our students. The Yamas is an informal gathering of students and teachers who like to gather and discuss anything "yoga".

Absolutely my favourite yoga studio in London. My classes with Vas were really great and I loved the humour that he brought to class. Also loved Kate's class, she's a fab teacher. The studio is clean, warm in winter, the props are clean and tidy, as are the bathrooms, and the receptionists were always so lovely. I've now moved back to Australia but I will miss Yogaloft a lot

Cosy, clean and bright studio. I have been practicing here regularly and it has never disappointed me: superb level of teachers, approachable and encouraging; timetable is carefully designed to meet everyone's style preference and work/life commitments; the staff is caring and capable; monthly passes are definitely competitive for London standard. Best studio in London and one of my favourite in Europe.

A friend and I tried the Community Yoga this past Friday morning. We were greeted warmly and were happy to learn that the class was free, with a $5 suggested donation. Being novices, it was great that the instructor told us to go at our own pace. Her instructions were very clear and she was helpful with passing us straps, adjusting our blocks as she walked around.
It felt like such a good stretch. I just wish it wasn't so hot in there. I nearly passed out at the end! During the last 5 minutes, it was a chance to lie and reflect and I was so panicky that I was feeling suffocated from being so hot! She did adjust the temp at one point, but I was struggling!

I don't really want to recommend this place fearing that it becomes too crowded. but I have to say that yogaloft has become my second home. Teachers are ALL amazing, honest, committed, involved, caring for each individual, there is a nice atmosphere in this loft and a real spirit of peace and mindfulness without any obligation to enter into the whole philosophy of yoga: you take what suits you. It is definitely driven by the love of yoga and not by profit. I hope this place remains the same!

Love Yoga Loft since it opened, partly because it is ten minutes away from our flat but also because its a great location and space and has teaches and classes we love. I have been able to experience and try out a range of different styles after doing Ashtanga for the longest time and now I practice Iyengar and Scaravelli yoga thanks to attending Yoga Loft. There has been some recent changes to classes and scheduling that has some of us long time regulars a bit disgruntled which is the reason for the minus one star.

The Yoga Loft is awesome! I walked in and felt completely calm and comfortable. The owner Jen and all the staff make you feel very welcome. I'm so happy to have found this place! I finished the teacher training this May and it was the best thing I've ever done. It completely enhances your life in every aspect. I would recommend the Yoga Loft to anyone and everyone!

This place is great! Went here after being out of yoga for over a year due to a back injury. Have taken classes with a variety of instructors so far and they all have been fantastic. Great place for yoga newbies too as they make it easy to catch on quickly (I needed some refreshing). Super convenient location right off of 93. Good variety of convenient class times. Highly recommend!

This is a great little yoga studio in Wilmington. The studio is comfortable, nice hardwood floors and plenty of props available for everyone. It is attached to an Anytime Fitness so the noise can carry into classes, but it honestly doesn't bother me or my practice at all and judging by how many people attend classes during the gym's busy times, it doesn't bother them either. I've mostly taken beginner classes with Sheila - she is great!
I especially love her weekly restorative class on Tuesdays. I think this is one of the only yoga studios around that offers a regular restorative class. Most others are typically a one time workshop offering. Definitely worth checking out if you're a newbie.

I have been going to The Yoga Loft on and off now for four years, and love the variety of classes offered! Every class is so dynamic just as the teachers and students are. Weekend and evening classes are always full, make sure to signup before hand! Each class incorporates the Sanskrit roots and provide great assists/alignments/modifications for each pose! I also took Jen's teacher training program in 2014 just to better my practice, and fell in love with yoga even more!

I'm new to Yoga, but was instantly welcomed and put at ease. The entry way is tiny, but the practice space is a good size. Love the smooth flooring and dark wall colors, very easy to relax in there. Classes are more affordable if you buy them in packs or through the community center. I'm not a regular, but I'll keep trying.

They offer a great deal for new students -- two weeks unlimited for $25, so if you can go to two classes a week, you'll get a good feel if it's for you (but try to get to more!). In my honest opinion, The Yoga Loft is fantastic and so are it's teachers (I've been to lots of studios in New England that are good, but this place is special). It's a perfect place to start your yoga practice or deepen it (if there's something you want to learn, the studio owner Jen will help you get closer to it).
All the teachers are extremely knowledgeable, and keep their classes fun (intelligent sequences, great music, often some laughter). Modifications are always offered if you want to challenge yourself or back off a bit, but get ready to sweat if you want to. The schedule has plenty of classes that are great for beginners, but The Loft offers some classes that are as challenging as anything in Boston (2nd series Ashtanga, 108 Minutes of Heated Power Yoga).
If you're looking to try a studio in the area, you've got to give it a shot. If you're a 15-20 minute drive away from exit 39 on i-93, you won't be disappointed, especially a class with Jen.

This place is a hidden gem! The instructors are all such wonderful people with complementary experiences and talents. They offer lots of different classes, from Beginner Yoga, to Core classes, to Ashtanga Primary and Secondary series. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, you barely notice it's attached to a gym. In fact, the gym's locker rooms are available to Yoga Loft patrons and is quite a nice locker room. So check out the Yoga Loft! This place has all the authenticity of an experienced studio without the pretentiousness.

Reviewing on my boyfriend's acct: Best Yoga in Greater Boston. Class tonight was Anthony and I enjoyed every minute. I will admit Jen is my favorite instructor though. I don't love the gym next door but other than a full retreat location like Kripalu you have to typically share some space and potential distractions. Plus the gym noise is a good way to practice your inner focus. Namaste

I'm new to the Yoga Loft but have always been treated with respect there by all instructors. The room is pleasant though small and the classes are really good quality. I consider myself an intermediate/beginner, and some of the work is pretty challenging. Thanks to instructors Jen and Nicole (and another whose name I can't recall) I always leave with a sense of relief and accomplishment. Namaste!

The Yoga Loft has changed my yoga practice and my fitness level beyond all expectations. Jen Ryan is an amazing and charming yoga instructor offering her unique style of yoga in an atmosphere without the yoga-tude. The beginner class is a great place to start but the intermediate classes are great for anyone looking to take their practice to the next level. I'm doing things I never imaged possible after years of practice -great inversions and arm balances.
I feel great and I'm stronger than ever- especially my core and my mind. Adding athletic yoga to spinning and the elliptical trainer has given a boost to my workout routine. The yoga loft is in Wilmington, right off of 93. It's tucked away but worth looking for!

For a smaller studio, the Yoga Loft certainly has a lot of schedule offerings. I had a coupon for a free class and decided to use it. After taking Beginner-level yoga at a studio out of state, I decided to pick it up again and try intermediate flow. I really enjoyed it. Kristin, our instructor, was definitely helpful and did some "spot checking" on a couple of my poses to make sure I wasn't hyper-extending anything.
When it came time to do headstands, she came over and patiently walked me through step by step. She made the class experience very relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience. I just signed up for 10 more classes. :-) Only one drawback--and it's rather minor--I wish the studio had mirrors on the walls. At my previous studio, I became accustomed to peeking at my form every so often to make sure I was on track.
If you're thinking about signing up and purchasing a 5- or 10-class pass, I would recommend showing up either right before or after a regularly scheduled class. (They don't have a full-time secretary there.) I believe they also take PayPal. :-)

I haven't been to other yoga studios to compare this with, but this studio will fix your yoga needs. however, i have some issues. I'm glad that Yoga Loft switched its location to where it has hardwood floors (previous location was carpeted), but the studio is literally a door away from a gym so it's not quiet at all. you can hear the weights drop, people talking, and music.
The latter two aren't that bad, but the weight dropping's gotta go! Yoga Loft also hired some new instructors to accomodate the somewhat expanding business. Jen's the owner and the head honcho for all this, but i recently attended a class headed by LUCY and this is where my ranting begins. 1. if she's the instructor, i expect her to act like one from the beginning to the end. i expect instructors to introduce her/himself to new faces or make them feel welcomed. i haven't gone in months and this was my sister's first time- so this was my first time with her. she treated me and my sister as if we were nobody and never asked questions about any prior experience, etc. I'm giving her crap because the class was small- 5 people and she seemed to be all giddy and lovely dovey to all. NO EXCUSE TO ACT LIKE A BITCH- bitch! 2. if you are the instructor, i expect you to do some moves while you are instructing. fine, she just had surgery on her foot and she couldn't do the moves - then at least walk around and re-adjust/ fix positions. she kept on saying- "i'd do the moves but you wouldn't want to follow me because i just had foot surgery." la la la, choke on it. as you can see- i am not happy with lucy. i've attended many many many classes with jen and never experienced such or have i ever seen jen treat anyone like that. i'm sure she wouldn't be happy if she knew that her representatives act the way they do when she's not around. i'm not a hardcore yogi but i do have experience. i felt insulted with her. she needs to take a hike.
