I put in order online. The owner responded with product updates. In the time between the two, life changed and the order was no longer needed. Jessica was gracious and efficient in canceling the order. I will definitely return when timing is better!

The place is decent, they have some cool things but they definitely lack a "friendly" professional attitude and when working with the public, that's important. I clearly misunderstood something that was said to me at a previous visit and the man felt it necessary to repeatedly state that in an embarrassing and degrading manner. I heard it the first time so after he repeated it for a 3rd time in a demeaning tone I was truly feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. It's unfortunate because I've been going there for years but unfortunately I do not plan on returning after that.

I don't like having to leave reviews like this but it did happen and people should be made aware so the next person isn't as shocked as I was. This occurred a few days ago so I've been battling with myself to even leave this review. Times have been pressing on everyone during this pandemic but it doesn't make it okay to treat your customers poorly. All I was trying to do was thank him for some previous advice.

This is such a great place! I was so happy they were opened when I stopped by the other day. The pandemic has been crazy, but it is always comforting knowing I have the Herbarium. They have kept me healthy and out of the doctors office for a long time now. Cured my acid reflux, allergies, and muscle pain. Having a knowledgeable owner who doesn't sugar coat things and fixes the problem means a lot to me.

My Doctor would always send his intern in to treat me and shoot me up with pharmaceuticals. When the world goes sideways and there is sickness all around you places like this matter. 5 stars!

Being new to vitamins and suppliments, I had many questions for proprietor Jonathan and his daughter Jess. The help from these folks helped me make informed decisions. I will be giving them my repeat business.

Was trying to purchase gift for my wife's bday, I understand Covid is an issue right now and he refused to sell me an item even through the glass. He was extremely rude over the phone even though I said exactly what I needed and would pay cash.

This is a lovely place to go. There.are products there that you can't get elsewhere. The staff is always polite and helpful. It's nice to have a local place where you can get good quality fresh herbs. I recommentd them to everyone.

The longevity of the business should be enough to tell you that they know what they are doing. 40 years +! Johnathan and his daughter are excellent, knowledgeable, kind and caring. You can find all sorts of herbs, teas, supplements, vitamins and so much more.

Dank place good vibes great products. I went here and the experience was good and I enjoyed coming. I would recommend this place to many people. It's great.

I started going to this quaint store over a year ago. I really love the small shop vibe. Kind of like stepping into a small shop in Boulder, Colorado in the late sixties. Well, I do have one small issue. I love teas for health. In particular, white, green, Oolong, and so on. Now for over a few months, they have been out of these teas I need. Every time I go in I am told the vendor is in delay and it is pending.

I really do wish they would find another vendor. I will try going in again this month, and if it is a no go, I will then go online and buy my teas by the pound. I will be done with this shop, sadly, and most regretfully. I do like the staff. And John does have the knowledge. I know this for I am a former retired B.S.N. R.N. with over twenty years in health. An A-OK quirky shop for whatever seems to ail you. I walked in looking for some natural remedies and the staff was very helpful and thorough in helping me. Definitely a great resource for natural alternatives.

This place is absolutely amazing! Went in there very skeptical with a bad tooth infection and came out with a solution and it really worked! 1 day after being there and having lots of pain and a very sore face I'm completely better. Defiantly going back there.

Herbtrium is such a pretentious store. One employee quickly darted towards me, the moment I attempted to smell the jarred spices.

The staff is very knowledgeable and patient. They work with you and answer all you questions. They all seem to love and enjoy their job. I am definitely going back soon

Johnathan is very helpful in educating me with all the questions I have. He had me use a calm heart inhaler for my grandson and also made a roll on of the same to help him sleep at night. It has worked wonders we are so happy with the results. The school also said it helps him relax when he is anxious or upset.

I used to go there when I was into all of that stuff. Herbarium was my go to place for anything I needed of that sort. Then one day, about a year or so ago, I went in to buy a new stone cage (my cat chewed my other one) and they had this new guy at the register. He didn't pay attention to me at all, kept chatting with who I think is the owner and gave me the wrong change. He shorted me a few dollars. When I tried to go back I couldn't get anyones attention so I left and never went back.

Amazing gem! This type of store is a rare find and especially one that has everything natural for healing, supplements and you have to try the Ultimate Bath Soak! It's amazing, better than any synthetic pill on the market! The owners know their business which is even harder to find :

This place was wonderful! The people were nice, the selection good - they were very knowledgeable and passionate about their herbs. I was making a very old recipe for an herbal liquor, and they were able to translate the old french names into modern herbs, and in each case, they had them in stock! This is definitely my new go-to place for anything herb related.

The Herbarium has been around for many years, first in Northampton in Thorne's Market before moving to a permanent location in Chicopee Center. The store carries dried medicinal herbs (correctly stored in a dark area), personal care items, cooking herbs, extracts, capsules, tablets, pastes, and other ephemera that are herbal and natural and good.

The owner, Kathy Duffy, no longer works in store, but is a renowned CCA and teacher of botanical medicine to students and hospitalists thoughout the area, and perhaps outside. In any case, I've been in the store a few times to purchase items for a class, and 3 out of 4 times, the item I'm buying is noticably more expense than it would be in another store.

For example: slippery elm powder cost me around $5.75 an ounce, when I could probably get it for $4/ounce at Earth Spirits in Sturbridge. Chamomile is also pricey. HOWEVER it must be noted that their products are high quality! Certainly, that's worth the extra money, eh? (Note: I can't afford it at the moment, so it seems a bit unreasonable) The staff are nice, though if you ask them for help finding something, they sometimes are a bit petulant. I'll just find stuff on my own! If it were possible to give this store a 4.5, then I would do so.
