ChiroSport, PC began with a novel idea. Take the basic principles of Chiropractic care and combine them with physical rehabilitation and massage therapy. Research states that the combination of the treatments is more effective than one alone. With these core principles in place we kept one objective in mind-always do what is right for the patient!
Your doctor will start off your appointment by taking a thorough health history. Next, your doctor will perform a thorough examination of the area or areas of concern to really determine the cause of your problem. After the diagnosis has been revealed, the doctor will put in place a treatment plan that is best suited to your needs and your condition.
Chiropractic was initially coined in the American English language in 1898 from the Latin words chiro- "hand" + praktikos "practical". The definition loosely meant as "done by hand." Today the term has evolved to Doctor of Chiropractic and Chiropractic Physician but the principles of healing with the hands still remains.
Massage Therapy is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques, to enhance function, aid in the healing process, decrease muscle reflex activity, inhibit motor-neuron excitability, promote relaxation and well-being, and as a recreational activity.

If you have pain or need adjusting this is the place to go to get relief! Amazingly thorough exam and both my daughter and I had immediate relief from the session. My range of motion has already improved after 1 session. The staff are amazingly friendly and the doc also has a great sense of humor. Highly recommend this place!

Was referred for a massage by Dr Luke in Lennox. Saw Sherry for an hour. Let me tell you! This woman is amazing! I have probably the tightest muscles in my entire body and this amazing lady made me feel like a whole new person in just an hour when normally I would need at least a 2 hour massage to get this relief! She knew exactly where to go and how hard to dig in and she also made sure to stretch me as she massaged the knots

I have always loved the staff and doctors, I've been coming to them for over 10 years. They know who I am and my family and I have such a positive feeling after I leave because of this office. I will definitely always recommend a massage before an adjustment I felt soo great and less tight. Thank you so much.

After our son sprained his ankle last spring, at the onset of the AAU basketball season, we were referred to ChiroSport by several parents on our son's team. We were incredibly happy with the entire ChiroSport staff from start to finish. Dr. Mikkelsen was very thorough; he explained the type of ankle sprain our son had and he was exceptionally good at explaining the what's, how's and why's of the injury and of the treatment plan. Brittany was just as good as the assistant and their 'ARP' system is fantastic. Our son's injury was essentially healed within about a week and a half! We highly recommend Dr. Mikkelson/ChiroSport.

I am a skeptic believer in chiro care; however Dr. Ross has made me change my view on that. SUPER knowledgeable, personable, friendly and fun! My daughter has had ankle/foot pain that is causing an achy back as well. One of her friends told her to check out Chirosport and I am glad we did. Our first appt. Dr. Ross (and Joel- his intern) took the time to discuss the situation and how they could help.
No promises that she would be completely healed, but that they did believe they could help her pain. They spent over 1 1/2 hrs. working with her. It wasnt a get you in to take your money, get you out and hopefully you'll come back. My daughter was actually able to sleep the last 2 nights and not cry about her pain. Would definitely recommend Dr. Ross and his team to anyone looking for care. They offer much more than just making a back adjustment or neck adjustment. Thanks Dr. Ross!
