I'm relatively new to Solana Beach and new to yoga, and I'm so happy I discovered Foundation Yoga (actually, it was recommended by two neighbors). The instructors are all outstanding - they're extremely knowledgeable, patient with novice yogis, and they help you personalize your practice based on what your body needs and is able to do. Highly recommend instructors Diane Roberts, Camilla Sinclair, Revati, and Elizabeth Scheer!

I discovered foundation yoga 3 years years ago. I plan on being a life long yogi and I credit the staff and vibe for inspiring me at foundation yoga. Every instructor I've had at foundation has been unique and amazing. I am a regular at the 6 am class, but have attended many other classes at various times. The atmosphere at Foundation is warm, caring, friendly, and very comfortable.

Since starting at foundation, I've lost about 15 pounds, lowered my testing heart rate to about 54, and have improved inner peace and focus. UPDATE: The health and wellness benefits are numerous. My resting heart rate continues to be in the low fifties ( down from a resting heart rate of the upper seventies). I recently had a painful hip for a couple months- at times more painful than others, but always pain. Recently, the instructor, Kris Culp, did specific moves to work on our hips, and the next day, I was nearly pain free for the first time in a long time- and 3 days later, I am still completely without pain. Do yourself a favor, and sign up for an introductory month. Try a variety of classes and make it a part of your life-

Foundation Yoga is studio that is committed to wellness. There are a variety of classes and instructors, all outstanding. If you are looking for a strenuous, sweat-inducing yoga experience, this is not the studio for you. What you will find at Foundation is yoga that is calming and therapeutic physically and mentally. The owner, Diane, is extremely knowledgable about anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system and incorporates that knowledge into her yoga classes.

I write this on my wife's google account because I don't have one. I wanted to share my extraordinary experience at Foundation Yoga & Wellness Center so that others can also can have the opportunity to greatly enhance their mind, body and soul capabilities. A little over a month ago I signed up for a $39.00 monthly special allowing for unlimited classes.

I instantly fell in love with the Center and the absolutely amazing teachers. The studio is first class, with a floor second to none and enough yoga accessories for every student to use during class, for free, so you never have to bring anything except yourself. The owner and teacher, Diane, and all the other teachers I have taken classes from so far are, in my opinion, what make Foundation Yoga a transformative sanctuary for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.

The teachers are all unique in special ways, yet all of them share an incredible knowledge of the body and the practice of yoga. This helps create a peaceful and supportive class environment that allows students to maximize their potential for growth no matter their level, without ever feeling inadequate. Foundation yoga offers the very best yoga/pilate classes in North County. The teachers are very knowledgeable and caring and work with you and your body so that you get the most benefit. They will help you work with your limitations as well as your strength, they all have their style and you can find a class to fit your personality and needs. Don't hesitate to try Foundation Yoga! It's hard to find authentic yoga studios that value meditation and tradition in their practice. This place is a rare find. And Jess is a phenomenal teacher who makes everyone feel welcome while finding ways to challenge the more advanced students. No one's bored and no one feels social pressure. She taught an exceptional class and I can't wait to come back

I have been a regular student at Foundation Yoga for over 20 years. I usually take Diane Roberts class but have experienced many of her other teachers and they are all great. I have taken yoga classes from time to time at other yoga studios and they just do not compare with the quality, expertise and individualized attention that all of the teachers give to each student.

All of Diane's teachers are well schooled on how to work with injuries so that you can heal effectively instead of making your injury worse! The studio is beautifully appointed and spacious with a great selection of yoga props. The front desk person is warm and friendly. I always leave there feeling like I've just had the most therapeutic body realignment and am guaranteed to sleep like a baby!

I have been coming to Foundation for years, and it's my favorite yoga studio. The instructors are professional, experienced, and teach in a gentle, non-threatening manner. The space is lovely, and there is a good variety of different classes. I recommend it!

Discovered this gem of a studio a few years back and stop in every time I am in town. Diane Roberts, the owner of Foundation Yoga, is a fountain of information and experience. She is very knowledgeable about the body and is very cognizant of proper alignment which I appreciate. Diane's yoga classes are very therapeutic. With her structural knowledge and postures, I always leave feeling 100% better than I did when I entered the studio.
