Osteopaths use hands-on manipulation to remove physical restrictions that cause pain or disease and allow the body to heal naturally. With the use of ancient sufi teachings, healing is bridged between the spiritual heart and pain or illness in the body. Proper nutrition plays an important role in promoting health and preventing disease.

The calling to practice medicine came early in life for Dr. McReynolds when she was injured while training as a competitive gymnast. After completing undergraduate studies from the University of California at Riverside, Dr. McReynolds attended medical school at University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she graduated in the top 10% of the female class.
Low Level Laser Therapy is a completely safe, noninvasive and non-thermal therapy in which a special type of light penetrates the surface of the skin and underlying tissues to stimulate natural healing in the body. The 660 Enhancer laser probe generates 50mW of 660nm red laser light. This wavelength has been shown beneficial for stimulating acupuncture points in place of needles, promoting healing in soft tissues, reducing muscle spasms, healing wounds and softening scars. The 808ng Enhancer produces 300mW of 808nm near-infrared laser light.
What type of advise do you give about nutrition? A lot of confusing information exists about nutrition today. We know proper nutrition plays an important role in promoting health and preventing disease. Studies have shown how a healthy diet can reduce the risk of debilitating diseases such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, and cancer.
QRA (Quantum Reflex Analysis), is a simple, safe, yet profound way of allowing the body to tell us what it needs to heal. It is the union of science-based kinesiology testing, ayurvedic and chinese medicine principles, biochemical nutrition, herbs and detoxification therapies. When you are in full health, the electrical frequencies of your tissues, organs and glands resonate at optimal levels and there is full "communication" between the brain and the rest of the body. When an area of your body gets weakened through disease, toxins, or trauma, the energetic frequency of that area changes, and the strength and integrity of these areas can be measured through QRA.
Why do we need to cleanse? We change the oil in our cars. We clean our homes. Every day we brush our teeth, and wash our hair and bodies. Yet, in our culture, little importance has been given to regular cleansing of our insides. Juice fasting is a form of fasting in which organic juice supplies live enzymes and micronutrients that further aid the cleansing process.

My review for Dr. McReynolds is only based on my interactions with her, not her actual treatment. First disappointment: I contacted Dr. McReynolds because I needed help for my 12 months old daughter who was having some sleep issues, a challenging situation for her and myself as well. Dr. McReynolds said she could help us, but unfortunately, she doesn't take insurance and her rates are much higher than any other osteopath I was able to find in the Austin area.
As I contacted our insurance to get the details for out-of-network providers, it turned out that we would have had to pay for most of the treatment ourselves. But they told me that because there was no in-network osteopath within a reasonable radius of our home, Dr. McReynolds as the provider (the patient can't do this) could request a single case agreement for her to be covered as an in-network provider.
When I called her again to ask if she would be willing to do this for us, she was very short on the phone and said that she didn't want to deal with insurance companies at all. Of course, I was very disappointed, since all she had to do was to make one single phone call, everything else would have been the same as with other patients: no need to negotiate/lower her rates, we would have paid her after each visit with a check and then would have asked our insurance to reimburse us.
We have done it before and it was no inconvenience for the provider at all. It is obvious that Dr. McReynolds does not care about people and their well-being (in this case a little girl with sleep issues), but only about the money she can make. One phone call was all it took from her in order to help a little girl, save us a lot of money, and for her to gain a new patient (or possibly even two, since I was considering treatment for myself as well).
Second disappointment: During our first phone conversation, Dr. McReynolds asked if the sleep issues my daughter was having could be related to immunizations. Since I am quite critical when it comes to immunizations and am eager to understand as much about them as possible, I found myself thinking about this questions for the rest of the day. So the next day, I called Dr. McReynolds again and left a voicemail asking if she would mind just giving me a very quick call back to explain the possible connection between immunizations and sleep issues (and other personality changes) in babies. Can you guess? Of course, I did not hear back. And remember, at this point, she already knew she wasn't going to get our business, so why would she even bother?

I took my husband to see Dr. McReynolds after a serious automobile accident. He was non-weight-bearing for three months. As expected after not being able to walk for three months, he was dependent on his walker to get around. When we went into her office he was unable to walk or stand on his own or stand up for more than a few minutes. My husband was hopeful but a little skeptical of what Dr McReynolds could do for him.
By the end of our office visit he was walking around the room on his own and stable on both of his feet! WITHOUT his walker! It truly was a miracle! We cannot wait to go back to see Dr. McReynolds.

Great physician, amazing balance of both medical and physical medicine. I was hardly able to walk due to an acute severe back spasm before seeing Dr. McReynolds but after only a few minutes she was able to significantly reduced my pain, enabling me to return to full activities and work. I highly recommend her service!

Dr. McReynolds is the first Osteopathic Doctor I have been to. I have seen M.D.s and D.C.s for all of my life but none of them were able to offer me medical expertise in all areas of my health and wellness. Not only is Dr. McReynolds a Master at manipulating the bones but she also has extensive knowledge and training in nutritional health and supplements so she can speak to me about healing in ways that don't involve engineered drugs and side effects.
I was in pretty severe pain from my lower back all the way down to the bottoms of my feet. The pain was impacting my ability to stand, walk and work out. After one visit for Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) with Dr. McReynolds, I found relief. I am always excited for my next session with her because I can actually feel the bone structure realigning. Dr. McReynolds was also able to help me tweak my diet to meet my weight loss goals, which is no small feat. Having my own wealth of knowledge about healthy eating and nutrition makes it difficult for most people to even understand what I'm talking about when I go into the dietary aspect of my life. Dr. McReynolds not only fully understands all these esoteric aspects of nutrition but she was able to guide me in the right direction to lose the stubborn weight.
There is a spiritual element to healing with Dr. McReynolds. With my permission, Dr. McReynolds prays for a moment before each treatment she administers to me. I find this to be of the highest value when receiving medical treatment. I will see a D.O. as opposed to an M.D. for the rest of my life, thanks to Dr. McReynolds. One who can help me with any medical/health concerns and also address the issues relating to my bones, muscles and joints.
I highly recommend seeing Dr. McReynolds to anyone at all, no matter what health challenges you face. I will continue to see her as long as I live in Austin, Texas and she is in practice.
