East West Healing Center is found by Dr. Leon Chen in 2004. We blend Traditional Chinese Medicine as acupuncture, herbs, Tui Na, and knowledge of western oriented orthopedics to optimize and harmonize each persons well being. We know that true health is more than just the absence of disease and involves balance between the physical, mental and emotional aspects of your being.
Approximately one hour, which includes documenting your health history, formulating a diagnosis, treatment plan and your first treatments. Using a combination of Chinese and modern medicine, Dr. Chen will do the following: Talk with you about your situation, previous treatments and what you would like to see happen.
Dr. Chen, a renowned Chinese Medicine doctor, professor, and author specializing in TCM and orthopedics, is offering a unique certification training program with CEU credit for acupuncturists. This course offers the latest research and development from China and will focus on his renown acupuncture, Tui Na and herbal treatment methods and diagnostic techniques, all of which he has taught to hundreds of TCM graduates in China and physicians internationally.Now Dr. Leon Chen is ratified a Continuing Education Sponsor of Acupuncture in Illinois(sponsor # 225.000007) and PDA provider of NCCAOM(provider # 1184).
Eastern and Western medicine have so much to offer to our health and well-being, as well as contributing to longevity. There have been great strides in recent years to integrate the two. It can be looked at as one of the greatest developments of our times in terms of true healing. Treating the whole person is one of the central ideas.

It's not closed, it's open! Dr. Leon Chen is a genius. He's fixed my neck, back, knees, ankle. Whatever you have ailing you, he can deliver a lot of healing quickly. He is very honest, too, and will tell you how many appts you need upfront before you will have relief. He has even has helped my teeth--helping me prevent a root canal.
If I fall or get in an accident (sigh--had one this year, when someone rear ended my car hard), he's my first call. Dr. Leon Chen may be the best healer out there. Don't keep him too busy, please. oh, by the way, he's also highly psychic, practices chi gong and was a medical dr and teacher in China with patents in his name. He has a location in Glenview and in Lombard. He's $80 per appt, and the first visit is a little more. He's magic on earth. I've been going to him since 2008.

Don't be scared of Acupuncture! It honestly works wonders when nothing else worked for me. A friend suggested Dr. Chen to me and I am glad that I gave him and acupuncture a shot! It seemed like most of his patients were there by recommendations and I am not surprised because the great work that he does. He is highly experienced with orthopedic as well as acupuncture, tuina massage, and Chinese herbs. I believe that the knowledge of all of these areas truly makes him an amazing doctor!

If you are ready to try acupucture, I would really recommend Dr Chen, who as one reviewer noted, does work in three separate locations on regular days of the week. I have tried many modalities to relieve early awakening and insomnia and all the stuff that goes with it. After just two visits, I noticed some real improvements in overall energy and balance, so have continued treatment.
He works fast, is a an astute listener, and I do agree, his knowledge of western as well as eastern medicine puts him in a position where he can diagnose and treat patients extremely effectively with Modern Chinese Medicine. If you are thinking of trying medication or surgery, I would really strongly suggest seeing Dr Chen first. Side effects can last long after the meds have gone. i know most people know that the needles used are really barely there, but since my boyfriend told me he "didn't want needles, thank you very much", i will affirm to ye all, you will feel nothing in most cases, sometimes a small pinch. It is a pleasure to visit his office.

I had been suffering with intractable chronic pain in my right shoulder and neck for four, maybe five, years when I found Dr. Chen via Yelp. I had seen my primary care physician, a chiropractic orthodpedist, and several massage therapists as well as tried NSAIDS, topical pain relievers, supplements, and Epsom salt baths. Within 6 visits to Dr. Chen, the pain is nearly gone.
I have full range of motion in my neck and shoulder and my neck no longer locks up. I can sit at my computer without great discomfort and I am now able to find a comfortable position for sleeping. I always feel the acupuncture and tui na somehow increase my energy as well. I plan to continue to see Dr. Chen regularly so that he may, perhaps, help me with my fibromyalgia and its various symptoms. I cannot recommend Dr. Chen more highly.

I injured my knee. Talking to people it sounded like a partial to full A C L tear. This has been a very painful experience. After the first treatment the pain was 100% gone. The Dr. wanted me to come back for more visits and I agreed. After four total visits I noticed my varicose veins on that injured leg had dissipated. Dr. Chen can relieve your pain.

Please note that Dr. Chen works in Chicago, Glenview AND Lombard. Dr. Chen is amazing. I have seen him for Migraines, sprained ankle, and pinched nerve in my back. His combination of acupuncture, herbs and tui-na work really well. Although, I must admit my migraines are not healed. (mostly because they are hormonal) But my ankle is stronger than ever and my back pain went away after 1 treatment. Dr. Chen is also a very dear man, and a pleasure to see. I highly recommend him, especially for orthopedic injuries.
