Today I had an appointment in the building where Mind Over Matter Works is located. My 4 month old baby was with me, as was my mom so that she could watch the baby while I had my appointment. Toward the end of my visit, the baby began to cry, so my mom took her into the hallway of the building & was trying to comfort her. There are other medical offices along that hallway, as well as in the rest of the building.
As soon as my appointment was over, we found the nearest bench in the hallway so I could feed the baby & calm her down. We chose to do this instead of taking her to the downstairs part of the building (where there are also medical offices) because we would have had to carry her stroller downstairs, as the building does not have an elevator. I was in the midst of feeding & trying to comfort my crying 4 month old baby when an extremely rude woman came bursting out of the Mind Over Matter Works office (I'm assuming this woman is Dawn) & very sternly told me I needed to move my crying baby & that "it's very loud".
She repeated this "it's VERY LOUD" at least a couple times before turning around & marching back to her office. I am the first person to acknowledge that my baby WAS being very loud. And she had been crying for a while & was having a hard time settling down. She was in my arms so I was very well aware of this fact. However, she is 4 months old & was in need of food & comfort from her mom.
Several other people walked past us in the hallway & they were all so sweet & understanding. Babies cry. It is an office building where people of ALL ages may be present for treatment at the different medical offices. For all this woman knew, we might have been there because the baby was sick. I would have completely understood if Dawn had POLITELY explained that she has a hypnotherapy business & asked if I could please relocate.
She did not do this. She was so, so very rude & completely lacked any type of warmth or understanding. I am not one to write negative reviews & I have never used Dawn's professional services, so I cannot attest to her skill there. I do, however, know that I have never been treated so rudely & I would assume that someone so lacking in basic human kindness would not be the type of person I would want to use for any type of therapy.
