What if we focused on who we are and where we are going from the inside out? What if we made a commitment to refrain from causing pain to any living being, especially ourselves? A non-violent commitment that would include every action, word or thought that contained anger, greed or attachment. What if we made a decision to come from a place of love in all situations - with others and ourselves?
Becca began yoga ten years ago for physical fitness, but with time and practice, yoga became a tool for mental and physical healing. Her teaching focuses on the yogic tenet of ahimsa or being kind to yourself and others. With this in mind, she seeks to learn about students' goals, challenges and backgrounds individually, so she can help them experience yoga with compassion and courage.
Received her Yoga Teacher Certification from the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California. She is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience in the Health and Wellness Industry and an A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer. Her teaching style reflects the nature of loving yourself and your body through holistic practices.
Yoga is a holistic health practice that originated from ancient India, dating back around 5000 years. The effectiveness of Yoga has made it one of the most popular health practices today. Most people are drawn to yoga for its advantages to the physical body. Endocrine - balancing gland flow, including the pituitary, pineal, thyroid and parathyroid.
Beginning Yoga - A class that introduces you to yoga postures (asana) and proper alignment; to the importance of yogic breathwork (pranayama); to calming the mind using dharana (focus) and dhyana (meditation); and the path path. This is the class that opens the door, but you have to walk thru. Oh, and the path is yours, whatever you shall make it.

I was searching for a place to find out if yoga was for me. I realized that stiffness and lack of flexibility was becoming my normal as I aged. What I ended up finding was a place filled with encouragement, teaching, kindness, and healing. That was almost two years ago. I started my yoga journey knowing nothing and having very little flexibility. I learn something new about yoga and the human body in every class.
Not only do we learn breathing and poses, but we are learning how our body is meant to work. Under the kind watchful eye of Jan, Brent, and Mandy our form is gently guided always with safety in mind. Everyone's yoga journey is different. We are encouraged to focus on our own mats, never compare ourselves to others, and to honor where we are. I encourage anyone who has considered yoga to come and see what a wonderful place this is.

One2Yoga is my favorite yoga studio! They have a great variety of classes. Jan, Brent, and Mandy are all excellent teachers! A really unique place with a great group of students. One great feature: they read an excerpt from a text at the end of each class after shavasana, and it is always inspiring and thought-provoking. There is a lot of emphasis on the philosophy of yoga, so you get both a great mental workout and a great physical workout. I cannot say enough about how much I love this place!

One2yoga offers beginners to advanced and therapy yoga classes seven days a week. The place has a great ambience and all of the teachers are fantastic and have there own unique teaching style. Jan is the owner and has been teaching for over 12 years. She is a wonderful teacher of yoga and has a great gift at encouraging people to listen to and trust their bodies and live a loving and healthy lifestyle. She's built a beautiful community of yogis here. Brent has been practicing for 10 years and is what every yogi aspires to be. Keri is very loving and nurturing in her practice. There's an amazing tea, soap and essential oils shop in the front called Aeromagregory.
They have a large variety of products including stones, witchy like things and the best smelling candles (all made by Gregory himself). The prices are great! They also offer massages and loads of classes on healthy living (raw food cooking classes, meditation classes, healing classes and much more). It's possibly the best kept secret in the Donelson area.

This is where I personally fell in love with yoga in 2011 under Jan Trasher's instruction. After moving all over Nashville (in terms of my residence and yoga studios), I have landed back in Donelson. I am so thankful to be right around the corner from my favorite studio to date. Jan's methodology can't be put in to words. Everything from her encouragement, to her technicality and demeanor, lead to a enriching yogic and fitness experience. Add to this that the classes are filled with down-to-earth and good-natured practitioners of all levels. Love it, go here!
