Healthy habits are difficult to start and maintain but they make all the difference to your body. You have probably heard growing up that eating right and daily exercise is the best thing for your body. Well, as a Chiropractor in Hillsboro I'm here to tell you with years of experience and training that this silly motto is still true today! We provide high quality diagnostic and bio mechanical chiropractic care here at Carrier Chiropractic. We have effective patient education regarding stretching, strengthening, rehabilitation exercises, with postural and ergonomic recommendations for the home and office.
Services
As a Chiropractor in Hillsboro, I built Carrier Chiropractic in the summer of 2008. My wife and I have lived in the area since 1997 and by that time the Beaverton - Hillsboro area just felt like our home. We felt very fortunate to be in a position where we could really build a business wherever we wanted.
At Carrier Chiropractic, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic care to each and every patient. We have included information below about the different chiropractic services offered in our Hillsboro chiropractic office, but please call us at (503) 726-7260 if you have any questions!
We understand that arriving at a chiropractic office for the first time can be nerve racking. If you've never experienced chiropractic care before, you may not know what to expect when you come to our Hillsboro chiropractic office for the first time. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.
In some ways, one could say that chiropractic care is a bit like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly. When building a house, if you tried to build your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually may even collapse.

Dr. Scott provided excellent care. He took the time to evaluate and understand my issues and concerns. Dr. Scott explained better than my former chiropractors the source of my pain and a plan for the best way to proceed with treatment. After my first session I felt better than I have in years. In fact, I feel so much better I am planning to cancel my appointment with the Orthopedic surgeon and just allow Dr. Scott to treat my pain issues. Dr. Scott also offers treatment plans in a way where it doesn't feel pushy and when I wanted to hold off on some suggestions he was supportive of my decision.
It is important to be able to trust and feel comfortable with any therapist and Dr. Scott accomplishes both for his patients. He is very good at his job and clearly cares about his patients.

I've been hesitant to write a review due to my uncomfortable experience, and fear of response from their team. But I've come to feel that my experience is important and worth sharing - regardless of their response. I typically dread going to chiropractors as they're usually male practitioners. I'm a young woman (20s) in collage, and prefer women practitioners - especially when contact with my body is required.
I was hoping to have a pleasant and professional experience. My first impression upon walking in was that Dr. Scott and I were the only ones in the office. I'd preferred that another worker was there - but I put it aside for the time being. Dr. Scott was pleasant during the set up process. He asked me questions about my life and collage experience.
I was fine to chat while he was using a massage gun on my back and lower backside - until we got onto the topic of downtown Portland. He gave me caution to going downtown alone because I was a "cute young girl." Suddenly, I felt super uncomfortable - and disliked that we were the only two in the office. The comment felt totally unnecessary and unprofessional.
It felt like a weird and sly compliment disguised as fatherly heed of caution. I'd come to have my back fixed, not become aware of my appearance during a professional setting. I immediately called my mom upon leaving. Similarly, she works in a highly professional field where she must maintain appropriate client/practitioner boundaries. She immediately told me to not go back as the comment was totally unnecessary and inappropriate.
I walked away feeling vulnerable, and uncomfortable as a patient -regardless of Dr. Scotts intention with his comment. I hope my experience is reviewed by Carrier Chiropractic with genuine intention to listen and improve - as everyone deserves to walk away from physical treatment feeling safe and comfortable.

Dr. Scott is extremely knowledgeable and a skilled chiropractor. From neck & shoulders to hips & legs, he is efficient at assessing the issue and finding imbalances in the body. The environment is safe and professional. I find immediate relief from pain after a session. I have seen a lot of chiropractors in Portland (also worked for one as a massage therapist), and I highly recommend Carrier Chiropractic. Best chiropractor on the west side of Portland!

Dr Carrier is awesome as always he caters his service to my needs I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good experience and for a qualified practitioner. He has helped me many times over the years I have been a patient m. His office is clean efficient and personable. I can't recommend him enough I also was able to get a massage in his office today his massage therapist is great.
I highly recommend both of them if your muscles or back is having issues the are to go to people. They not only try to give you some immediate relief but they also try to teach you things that will help your body recover and stay healthy with good habits and exercises that are easy, doable but helpful

I have been a patient at Carrier for a few years now. After a car accident I went to see Scott and he was able to help with a quick recovery. I have kept a regular schedule with him since. I regularly recommended him to friends who may not be in the area and I tell them it's worth the time to travel to see him. Very professional and knowledgeable and willing to work with his patients to get them to a healthier life.

My back went out a couple of weeks ago and it was a truly scary situation that laid me out for a couple of days. When I realized I needed help, I called Dr. Scott at Carrier Chiropractic. Reception was friendly and got me a in quickly. Dr. Scott was very professional, kind, and understanding. He took time to listen to my symptoms and examine me. Then he explained what he was going to do and some of the theory behind it.
He also gave me some "homework" consisting of stretches and a few light exercises. The next day I felt significantly better, and each day seems to be an improvement over the last. I'm not 100% yet (it's only been 10 days), but I feel confident that I'll get there again. Thank you Carrier Chiropractic!
