Gerckens Chiropractic - Ventura Chiropractor

Over the years I've seen at least 15 chiropractors and Dr. Gerckens is by far the best therapeutic healer that I've ever worked with. HE ACTUALLY CARES! After working with him and his AMAZING team for five weeks, my pain level went from a 9 to a 2, and I was able to regain almost all of the range of motion in my head/neck movement. And I continue to improve! Dr. Gerckens goes above and beyond, taking the time to investigate the underlying cause and then utilizes various techniques to help the body heal from trauma, past and present.

It's quite impressive! The medical doctors that I had seen either didn't understand what was causing the pain or dismissed it as all in my head. They either wanted to prescribe pain killers and muscle relaxers or refer me to a psychologist. I was beyond thrilled to find this doctor who was able to treat me without prescription drugs. And actually resolved the issue that was causing such miserable pain.

I feel fantastic after every treatment and I'm so very grateful to have found this incredible healer. If I could give him and his extraordinary team more than five stars, I would!

I wish there was an option to leave more than 5 stars I hadn't been to the chiropractor in years and this last week my body decide to completely seize up and had the most incredible migraine that I went to the ER and they told me to find a good acupuncturist and chiropractor. So I hit up yelp and Dr. Gerckens was the first on the list. I called and I know his office staff could hear the stress my voice.

They got me in almost immediately and now after 3 major sessions and another scheduled for Wednesday he and his amazing staff have gotten me back to almost normal place. Their kindness and real care for their patients shows. Dr. Gerckrns' healing touch really proves he has great knowledge of how the body works especially with trigger point. Dr. Gerckens got a patient for life with. Literally gave him a huge hug before I left today. I'm bee in such agony it's nice to know I have a place to turn.

I have had bursitis and IT Band issues for many years, where I have had to have cortisone shots to relive the pain - sometime excruciating pain. My internist prescribed anti-inflammatory medications that wreaked havoc on my stomach. I was talking with my Daughter about Anti Inflammatory diets and casually mentioned that a Chiropractor that I had seen about 10 years ago said that my Ileocecal valve sticks open.

He would manipulate it and the all was good for a while. My Daughter is in lock down in New Zealand, so she started to investigate the ileocecal valve's function. She found that if the valve is open, intestinal waste backs up and causes many issues - one being inflammation, bursitis, etc. Then my Daughter went on a deep dive and she found Dr. Brant Gerckens in Ventura.

I started seeing him about a month before the holidays and what a life changing event it had been. He explained in great detail how the ileocecal valve can cause inflammation, bursitis, etc. He started to treat me and offered dietary insight as well. After only a few treatments, the tendonitis and bursitis are mostly gone - to the point that I really do not notice them.

I have not felt this good in 10 years. When you are in constant pain, you try to medicate and forget to really find out why you are in pain - Dr. Gerckens gets to the source of this issue. I now have the energy and motivation to do things that I have not done in years. I feel so grateful to my Daughter for caring enough to find some who truly cares about the well being of his patients and who has a love for knowledge, Applied Kinesiology, etc. I cannot recommend a more dedicated person than Dr. Gerckens and his amazing staff!

I am picky about Chiropractors. But Doctor and his staff are amazing. I start my visit with a massage, adjustment and eletro muscle stimulation. Dr gets alot of movement in my adjustments. Having sat at a computer for many years my neck, lower back and arms/fingers have pain. I can say that i am relieved of that major pain. The relief i feel after a visit is worth every penny!

I have never been to a chiropractic office like this. Dr. Gerckens is such a decent and talented human being who really cares and takes the time to make sure you get better. I often go in to his office stressed out to the max and come out feeling like I've had a mini-vacation. I am not exaggerating. He is a "magic man" for pain. His care includes so many different modalities for each person's specific needs, that I am in awe.

I get massages there included in the regular price of chiropractic, do a couple of his recommended exercises daily, and come to him regularly because of many issues (hiatal hernia, back pain, numbness etc) - and I feel great. His staff are beyond friendly - they welcome you when you come. I look forward to going to this office and feel fortunate to have found him. You are unlikely to find a better chiropractor, more decent human being, or better office experience.

I find Dr Gerkens to be a uniquely talented, multi-dimensional healer who I'd highly recommend to anyone. About 15 years ago he worked with me to successfully resolve serious low back and neck issues. At the time I was very impressed with the amount of time and thoughtful effort Dr Gerkens put into diagnosis and treatment. Recently, I've been seriously impacted by GERD, hiatal hernia, and IBS types of digestive issues.

After having surgery recommended as the best treatment option and consulting with several top surgeons in Socal, I decided the risk of new problems outweighed the benefits. When I read of chiropractic adjustments that reposition the stomach I immediately sought out Dr Gerkens. Once again his willingness to listen, discuss, experiment and use a very wide range of multidimensional healing modalities has greatly improved my daily life. In addition, the office staff and therapists are wonderful people to work with.

Working as a RN I began having severe back and neck pain. I decided to go see Dr. Gercken after being referred by a friend. Within two appointments I had improvement in my neck pain, and now after a few months I am pain free! His office staff are all incredibly kind and professional. Dr. Gerckens is a true healer! I have had advanced degenerative disc disease for many years in my neck and upper back with troubling episodes of constant pain, severely restricted movement and sleepless nights. Thanks to his generosity of time, expertise, healing touch, neck and back adjustments, after just 6 therapy sessions I am nearly pain free, have regained almost free movement and am now sleeping like a baby.

Gerckens is the absolute best. I gave the Joint a try and was extremely disappointed. Don't be fooled by the cheap prices. Gerckens is very reasonable and gives you a complete one-on-one experience. The pain was gone in a two visits. On top of that you get a great massage every visit!

10/10 would recommend! Dr. Gerckens and his team are so thorough and attentive to my body's needs. I deeply appreciate their holistic approach to full body and mind health! Dr Gerckens is very knowledgeable and doesn't hesitate to answer your questions or give you take home exercises! I was somewhat uncomfortable in the new experience, as I had never been to a chiropractor, but he and his team made me feel as relaxed as possible and I always feel that my comfort is a top priority. I enjoy that the main office door is almost always propped open & lets in the fresh air. the cozy office and family atmosphere provide a warm environment. Dr. Gercken has been helping me through my third trimester of pregnancy. After seeing another local and top rated chiropractor with no improvement I searched for a new chiropractor to alleviate my pain. Dr. Gercken and his entire staff is compassionate and knowledgeable. They take a vested interest in you and the amazing adjustment works within a couple of sessions.

I am so thankful for Dr. Gercken's support during my prenatal care. It's true that you can have a pain free pregnancy with his help. Walking or changing positions when laying down were nearly impossible tasks before I came here. Also the entire staff is top notch, they treat everyone who walks through those doors as family.

It's been a while, so I wanted to update my review from 2014 to let you know that its 2020 and Dr. G is still amazing! He sincerely cares about his patients and all the staff there are so sweet. I have been battling the flu and was very sore from being bed ridden. The massage therapist (shes the nicest!) gave me extra time to try to help loosen my stiff muscles.

Then the doctor came in and helped me find the right supplements to feel better, along with a great adjustment. He also gave me some great advice on things for my autistic son. He always takes his time and I've never felt rushed or like I'm being herded like cattle, which I feel like a lot of offices do. He always alleviates my pain and I feel better every time I leave. His time, hands, and advice are SO valuable. I can assure you wont find a better chiropractor anywhere! I am a patient for life.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I'll usually call a day or two in advance to see if I could make an appointment and they do they're best to help fit me in. The reason I docked a star off was because some days it feels a little rushed, but overall I would still recommend Dr. Gerckens and his staff.

I am so grateful to have found this office. They have changed my life! Dr. Gercken puts so much time and effort in to caring for the whole person, not just their head, back, or neck pain. He took the time to figure out where the source of my pain came from, made dietary recommendations, supplement recommendations (and sells them for cheaper than online!), and always gives me a very thorough adjustment. The staff that work there are phenomenal as well. I will be a client for life!

I've been to many Chiropractors in the area, however none of them can compare to Dr. Gerckens. Out of all them, he was the first to actually give me some insight on what is causing my back pain as well as giving me exercises/supplements that would greatly improve my issues as well. Where as other chiropractors, they would just give me the typical back adjustment and send me on my way, which we all know is just a temporary solution and won't actually fix the problem. Dr. Gerckens and his staff are very friendly and I would highly recommend him to everyone!

Posting this for my wife- Magic Healer! Seriously the best experience I've had with a chiropractor! I went in because I couldn't move my neck for 3 days, I went in and by the end of my visit I was able to move my neck and felt even better than before my neck problem! I am not a regular Chiropractic attender, typically I wait until I have a flare up. It's either my lower back or shoulder. When I come in with my 8month, 2 year breaks I always walk out with relief.

The 15 min massage they give before the adjustment was the best part of the experience but overall not worth the price. Adjustments weren't effective compared to my experience with another chiropractor.

I came here two separate events. The first time a was pregnant and my lower back was so painful I couldn't walk or sit very long. I came to Gerckens and I was fixed within two weeks. Each visit I felt better and better. The second time I had a migraine for almost two weeks. My primary doctor kept giving me narcotics that only made me loopy abs didn't fix the pain.

The first visit to Gerckens I had immediate relief. not 100% but enough where I was able to function again. By the end of the week I was migraine free (3 visits). I will definitely continue with maintenance adjustments.

I have suffered from migraines since I was 16. I've been to a few chiropractors and and that has not helped, but since coming here I have not had one headache in 2 weeks so far when usually it's every day. Dr. Brandt Gerckens is an outstanding chiropractor! I started seeing Dr. Gerckens after a car accident in 2016; I have been a devoted and pain free patient ever since! Dr. and his staff are caring, dedicated, and professional in their field. I was also delighted to discover that each chiropractic session starts out with a hot packs and a mini-massage by the doctor's massage therapists :- - He also practices other holistic treatments and his supplements/remedies have been an great component in my healing and overall wellbeing. Without a doubt, Dr. Gerckens in top in his field and you can trust your care to him.

I came to Dr Gerckens' practice about 10 days after a deadlifting injury. I had pretty intense muscle spasming and very limited range of motion. Within a few weeks my back spasms were gone and my range of motion continued to improve significantly. After about 3 months now, I have no back spasms, my range of motion is back and overall I'm feeling great. Dr Gerckens is incredibly knowledgeable and offers a very wide range of treatments at no extra cost. By far the best chiropractor I've ever interacted with. Highly recommended.

Dr. Gerckens is a true professional. I first started coming to Dr Gerckens due to a recommendation from my sister who is a long time patient. I was having extreme lower back pain and after seeing my primary doctor, going to physical therapy and taking muscle relaxers I had little to no relief. I'm glad that I gave Dr. Gerckens a visit, after only a handful of visits I feel much better and the pain is going away. Dr. Gerckens and his staff are always extremely welcoming and professional, his time in the industry truly shows through conversation and treatment. I saw dr. Gerkens for lower back and TMJ issues and at first I had no problem with the doctor however after I'd been there a few times I notice that he just kept staring at my boobs. it made me very uncomfortable so I decided to never return and I now see if female chiropractor that doesn't stare at my boobs

I first saw Dr. Gerckens 15 years ago to help with an issue with chronic neck pain that had been bothering me for YEARS, despite visits to other Chiropractors and doctors. Within a few visits, my pain was gone and he's been my chiropractor ever since. He doesn't rush you and will take the time to do whatever it takes to get you fixed, and every visit starts with a massage and hot packs to loosen up your muscles, which helps a ton to make sure the adjustments are effective. I still went all the way to Gerckens even when I lived in Pasadena and now I drive down from SB because he's the best there is. Highly, highly recommend him.

I've been a patient of dr. Gerckens for years & he has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend him to my family & friends bc his whole office experience is so healthful. I consistently leave feeling well & free of pain. I especially like his inflamacore shake that helps me maintain my vitamin D levels at a normal range. Great services, which allowed for a quick recovery. I am very happy with the care I received by Dr Gerckens and his staff! I am and occupational therapist and am particular about the care I receive. I was recovering from my second back related strain, and felt significant relief following my initial appointment. When I first limped into Gerckens Chiropractic I didn't know what to expect because I had let my condition worsen over time. Like many people, I hoped my pain and discomfort would get better on its own. I was wrong. Dr. Gerckens took the time to investigate the causes of my particular problems. I was suffering from severe pain in my lower back, shooting pain from my hip through my leg to my foot. Also, I had a bad case of drop foot and all the classic symptoms.

At that point I would have appreciated any relief for my condition. Dr. Gerckens told me he had treated other patients with similar symptoms and had had excellent results. He laid out a treatment plan designed for my specific symptoms including foot and leg exercises, nutrition, support as well as the assistance of his highly skilled staff. Amazingly, the better I fell, the faster I felt better - a real life changer.
