Another overdue review, coming your way! Reza, you were absolutely a Godsend to my traumatic ankle sprain and knee bone bruise from last October. I saw Reza dozens of times between November and March. Usually going twice a week. I had no idea what acupuncture could do, as it was my first time using this healing modality. I was pleasantly surprised after just the first session. Reza takes the time to get to know you as a patient and it pays off in spades.

He used scraping, a bone massager, cupping, and oils, in addition to the needles. I truly believe it helped to accelerate healing and movement and the swelling finally went away 5 months later. It was one of the more gnarly sprains with fractures and torn ligaments, and the prolonged swelling was really no joke. I don't believe physical therapy could have helped enough.

He also worked with me to calm my vagus nerve with various techniques that also worked well. It's been a few months since I've gone back but there is not one week that hasn't gone by where my mind/body hasn't reminded how beneficial treatment is. It's awesome self care and I wouldn't trust anyone else with this holistic healing. Thank you, Reza! I'll see you soon!

I'm active, lots of swimming and surfing and yoga and the odd hack around 18holes. Hence my consistently tight neck/shoulders. but there is hope! Dr. Reza will get straight to your issues with effective modalities, I'm particularly fond of the cupping. He knows his stuff, and I always walk out of there much looser, lighter, taller and recharged.

2016/2017: I seeked acupuncture treatment for joint injuries and found Dr. Reza Tafazoli (Dr. Rey) through word of mouth. Dr. Rey provided detailed consultation, professional advice and well-explained treatments. Fast forward 5 years (2022), I go back to Dr. Rey for another joint injury. Office moved since I last visited in 2017, new office has easy and ample free parking. Currently, flexible appointment scheduling and easy convenient communication options made possible by having friendly and helpful Nick in the office plus well-made and managed, easily accessible Irvine acupuncture website. COVID safety measures: -questionnaires to be filled out online prior to appointment visit -mask is required for entry -temperature is taken prior to entry Similar to what I experienced 5 years ago, Dr. Rey explains his treatment plan at the beginning (after consultation) to make sure patient is on same page and in consensus, without pushing for services that patient does not need. Dr. Rey applies a variety of techniques such as cupping and electrical (micro current) to treat the root of injuries and effectively alleviate pain at the same time. I hope I don't injure myself (especially joints) again, but if I do (touchwood), I will go back to Dr. Rey for treatment without hesitation.

I highly recommend this place. I have been helped more than I ever expected. I like the way I am treated and the help I get in scheduling appointments and getting reminders for them. I appreciate that if an emergency comes up and I have to reschedule my appointment, they are very understanding and helpful.

This was my first time trying acupuncture and came in for fertility purposes. Reza was extremely professional and listened to my concerns. He gave me some pointers for deep breathing exercises to reduce anxiety. I felt amazing after leaving, already recommended a few family and friends.

I cannot stress enough what a godsend Ray was when I saw him regularly. He did what no doctor could do despite throwing prescriptions at me, with so many side effects. My migraines were fewer and farther in between. The inflammation in my neck and face went down. My knots began loosening a little finally. If my insurance hadn't changed so many times in the interim, I would've continued going to him. And am hoping I can find a way to return. If you've been struggling with pain and inflammation, I highly recommend going to Ray.

Modern doctor, I've done the recommended treatment for sinuses and shoulder/back pain. He uses a variety of techniques, from guasha, cupping, gliding cups, acupuncture, and electric stimulation. Additional "new age" techniques that you might not find at other offices are things like: NuCalm patch on your forearm, binaural beats, and low frequency emitter to help your body enter a state of healing and rejuvenation.

It worked well for me, I always felt very calm during the treatment and even after so I highly recommend that. He is attentive and will listen to your pain points and concerns at the beginning of each session and will try his best to address them.

This review is long overdue. I have never tried acupuncture before and heard great things about it for pain management. So, I decided to try this office due to all the great reviews on Yelp. I want to start off by saying how much I appreciate Dr. Reza. He is amazing at what he does, and he genuinely cares about your well being. I've been a nurse for over 8 years and I believe that my back has finally gave up on me.

My upper and lower back started to feel like it was on fire. I was experiencing crazy burning sensation day and night. My back felt tight and stiff when I wake up in the morning. I would have trouble trying to find a comfortable position, even at rest. Falling and staying asleep was difficult. My pain was also associated with tension headaches that would throb like crazy.

After just two visits my headaches completely went away. My upper and lower back pain has also improved after 4 visits. Dr. Reza does a combination of treatments for me not just acupuncture. I feel so relaxed every time I come in for treatment I would fall asleep at times. I'm able to sleep so much better at night and not struggling to find a comfortable position.

If you're looking for an acupuncturist who knows what they're doing, I would highly recommend Dr. Reza! I believe his treatments has made such a huge impact on my well being. I've tried float therapy and chiropractic for pain and it did not work for me. I am forever a believer in acupuncture, cupping and all the treatments he offers at his practice.

Came in for a pain I been having in my neck. Reza has been treating my neck and back by cupping followed with acupuncture. He has also provided me with some exercises to do at home. Ever since I have been going to him my pain has gone down. My posture has been improving. My stress levels have gone down. I am overall more relaxed. I am becoming more knowledgeable about my own body. I also love the relaxing music that's played during the sessions and the overall feel of the place.

Let me start by saying this review is long overdue! Before finding Reza I had tried out three other acupuncturists in Orange County. They were all decent but none compared to my experience with Reza. I struggle with chronic fatigue, muscle aches, and stiffness, headaches, you name it. While I get plenty of pain reduction with Reza I have to say his whole approach and outlook on life is what really has transformed the way I allow stress to affect my body.

When I first went to him I was going through a very stressful time in my life and my body was so tense (neck, shoulders, and head regions). We do cupping and scraping every time as well. I feel I need to note that he is also very gentle. As someone who is VERY sensitive to the slightest touch for whatever reason, he is always careful and considerate of that.

I look forward to my weekly appointments for many reasons. they keep me sane, depression at bay, help manage the stiffness and pain and help with my energy levels. I always feel rested and recharged after seeing Reza! Please do not do what I did and wait to find the right acupuncturist because Reza is the right one. Sounds cheesy but it is true! :)

My husband and I both come here and we absolutely love this place! I had never done acupuncture before, but I hurt my ankle hiking and my husband thought I should try it out. I had ONE session and that was all I needed. 48 hours after my session my ankle was completely healed! It was incredible! I could barely walk on it before. We will definitely be coming back to this place!

I have been having chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, and traps for 8 months and Reza has tremendously helped with the pain. He found a muscle knot deep in my shoulder blade and after getting it out, my condition has vastly improved. He does gua sha, cupping, and acupuncture and he also makes sure to ask how you are doing during the session. I highly recommend him, he has given me hope that my pains will go away after suffering from them for so long. You are in very good hands If you are worried of covid, Reza has made all efforts to keep you safe during Covid with proper PPE and sanitation.

I highly recommend Dr Reza. I've had four sessions with him for severe lower back pain and leg pain and I am feeling so much better. I'm amazed how after the first session I felt some relief. I was about to have an epidural prior to seeing Dr Reza, I am so glad I saw him first and no longer need the epidural. Dr. Reza it's not only very professional and knowledgeable but also very empathetic and caring which is greatly appreciated when you are in severe pain. Amazing healing experience. I went to Reza's acupuncture office 3 times in the matter of one week and it healed the nerve pain I was having from my shoulder to my lower back, legs, and my middle fingers. I woke up one day with this incredibly strange pain, my middle fingers felt like they were broken. Through the first day of treatment I could not feel an instant relief, but after the 3rd acupuncture treatment, I had a wave of total relief from these pains.

The whole experience was relaxing, relieving, and at the same time rigorous. I wanted to try acupuncture, because I personally believe western medicine should be avoided until completely necessary. I came to see Reza at Irvine Acupuncture for my Carpal Tunnel Syntrome in both hands. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition that causes numbness, tingling and other symptoms in the hand and arm. Before being treated by Reza, I was seen by the Hand Specialist Surgeon and recommended a surgery. I did not agree with the recommendation and wanted an alternative treatment for my CTS. Reza has applied multiple treatments such as acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, far infrared heat therapy, scar tissue therapy, cupping treatment, Graston therapy and pain relieving oil ointment. Reza's treatments were very effective for my CTS.

After receiving 16 treatments, I am very happy to report that I have gained my strenght back in both hands, no more numbness, tingling and pain. I highly receommended Reza at Irvine Acupuncture.

If your back pain is on a "surgery point" try Ray! He can make magic! The treatment takes time, but it's worth it!

Was diagnosed with cervical bone spurs, pain and stiffness in the neck was very uncomfortable Reza with his acupuncture, neck massages and with mild stretching sessions helped me tremendously. He even guaranteed that his sessions will make me play better golf and cut strokes from my golf game. Well it did help me with enjoying my game of golf by not being in pain due to my sessions with Reza. Will highly recommend Irvine Acupuncture

The owner was very nice and developed a plan for my health and well being! He explained the needs of my nutrition and some other great philosophies. I really enjoyed my acupuncture experience! I can't even express how FANTASTIC the cupping is. I can't get through a session of acupuncture without falling asleep, it's relaxing, it doesn't hurt, it's not scary at all!

The only downside is that my insurance doesn't cover it and it's a bit pricey. I would do this every single day if i could afford it. If you can, and you're on the fence, DO IT! And this is a fantastic place to go!

AMAZING! I usually don't believe in this type of stuff but I been having really bad upper back pain/shoulder area for a few months now. Went to a chiropractor and he told my my rotator cuff is almost torn and I need 23 Sessions for $1400 etc etc which is all BS! I went once and stopped. Then I was told by few people I should try acupuncture/cupping.

I yelped what's close to me and found Dr. Reza. I'm so glad I did. Have gone 2 times and already feel a dramatic difference even tho I have few sessions left. Very professional and super nice person he is. Explained the entire process too me and goes well beyond to make sure I feel good and hopefully get my back to 100%! I've been coming to Reza for about a month now and couldn't be happier with the results! I came in for headaches and neck/shoulder pain from my desk job and haven't had one issue since! I've been doing scraping (sounds scarier than it is), cupping, and acupuncture for an hour appointment- all for about $100 bucks! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Irvine Acupuncture for treatments! Reza is professional, attuned to helping the body facilitate it's healing, and able to address the problem and get results in the first couple of visits. My training in Aikido (a Japanese martial arts) took a toll on my shoulders, neck, and elbow. Within the first 2-3 visits at Irvine Acupuncture the pain, throbbing, and discomfort significantly reduced so I could sleep better, have more ease at work, and continue training on the mat. I can't say enough good things about Irvine Acupuncture. I suffered for 13 months with debilitating chronic migraines. My neurologist tried every medication & every procedure known to migraine sufferers, nothing could stop them from coming. After about 4 sessions with Reza they started to disappear. After a few more they are were no longer chronic or debilitating. Reza is honest, passionate, friendly and very good at what he does. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My only regret is waiting so long to get treatment.

I'm from out-of-the-area and am spending the summer in Irvine. I've had chronic upper back pain for 30 years. About 11 years ago my pain disappeared after 3-4 months of acupuncture and cupping. Now I live in the Midwest and don't get acupuncture on a regular or even semi-regular basis. As a result, my back pain has crept back into my life. Being that I am in Irvine for the summer, I decided to start acupuncture again.

But this time i only have 7 weeks for treatment. Based on the numerous excellent reviews on both google and yelp, I opted to try Irvine Acupuncture. I am glad I did. Ray is excellent. He has excellent techniques. He truly cares about each patient. He is professional, personable, polite and punctual. His office is clean and organized. I've been coming for 6 wks (2x/wk) now and my upper back pain is so much better.

The pain is almost gone and my range of motion has improved. Ray implements many various techniques - some techniques i never experienced before. So I am excited to experience each session with Ray. I'm already sad that i'm leaving Irvine next week to go back to the Midwest. But I am happy I feel so much better. Bottom line: if you have pain, stress/anxiety, headaches, or just want a tune-up.come to Irvine Acupuncture. You'll be happy you did.

He is very smart, professional and personable and extremely gentle and comforting and informative. i have been suffering from back pain for more than 3 years and tried everything such as chiropractors, physical therapy, epidural injection and finally surgery and got worse. until i tried acupuncture and specially seeing Dr reza, was inflection point of my healing journey. if you have sciatica and back pain you have to see him and you will see the result in few sessions! God bless him and his work Highly recommended!

Ray is the owner at Irvine Acupuncture and he was amazing. When I showed up at his practice last July/August with polycystic ovaries (a couple cysts as large as 3.8&4.0 cm) and an irregular cycle -making conception impossible-Ray assured me we could fix this. I started twice weekly Acupuncture and within one month all of the small cysts were gone (pain was now manageable) and the two larger were half the size they were before (seen via ultrasound).

By mid-October I was pain and cyst free (confirmed by follow up ultrasound at my OB), and I cancelled my surgery! By the end of October I had gotten pregnant and now I'm 4+ months along. I would highly recommend seeing Ray if you're having any sort of fertility issues or female pain/cycle issues. I really hope I don't start to have the same issues I did after I have our baby, but if the cysts come back I would for sure give him a call again.

I have had an inner ear infection with some serious vertigo which brings on dizziness and vomiting. Two ER visits and two visits to a GP with no concrete results. I have had four visits with Rey and it has helped immensely. I would highly recommend Rey he is very knowledgeable and professional with a good sense of humor.

Update to my previous review. Ray actually ended up messaging me AND calling me a day after I posted this review to apologize for his answering service not informing me of office hours and not calling me back. I have yet to make an appt for Irvine Acupuncture, but I am now highly likely to use them in the future because of Ray's due-diligence in rectifying the situation. This says to me that he takes pride in his business and patients.

A nicer man there could not be. His facility is great, he knows his stuff, and he gets results! Couldn't be happier.

After years of sciatic pain, I decided to try Acupuncture. I am so glad a previous co-worker of my husband recommended Dr. Reza. Dr. Reza takes the time to listen and explain the source of the problem. It's great that he also explains to you the treatment that will be performed. Not only does he provide the acupuncture therapy he recommends stretching exercises and provides follow-up via email to make sure you are okay.

Since I have been going to him, the pain has subsided. Although my job consists of sitting, there are times it will flare up again, however, with just a few treatments the pain goes away. I'm much happier with this method of treatment than having to take pain relievers. I'm a true believer in acupuncture now and feel anytime I have discomfort I know I can call Dr. Reza to help resolve the problem.

The office is not only clean; it is in a great location which allows for me to go during my lunch hour or even after work. If you are looking for an office in Orange County, I definitely recommend Dr. Reza.

This place was amazing! I visited with Ray on my first visit and explained where my pain was. I had pain for over a year in my left hamstring from a Taekwondo black belt injury over a year ago and I was not able to get rid of it. I met with Rey for probably 8-10 visits in which he was able to able to completely rid me of this frustrating pain! I also explained I had some moderate stress level and some mild anger issues. Rey was amazing with my injury visits and he was able to target these stress and anger challenges I was having and I am happy to say I am now an an entirely different person. Rey and his practice are a must go to for probably every ale meant you have. Rey's bed side manner are very comforting and extremely easy to talk to.

I have been taking vitamins that he recommended which have really paid off in my health and how I feel. I also have a very busy travel work schedule which I am sometimes late and even have to reschedule from time to time. Rey has been very accommodating and understanding thank you Rey for everything!

I would highly recommend Irvine Acupuncture. I have received so far 7 treatments and have noticed a positive difference in how I feel overall after each treatment. I plan to continue receiving further treatments. Rey's demeanor is very professional as well as knowledgeable. I felt right away at ease speaking with him, and I appreciated his honesty in answering my questions.

I never felt rushed nor ignored during any of my appointments. I will admit that I am not the ideal patient, especially since I have an issue with arriving late or even forgetting my appointment due to my busy work schedule. Rey has been very patient, understanding, and flexible with my situation.

Acupuncture, in my opinion and experience, it has been the best pain killer and anti-inflammatory treatment I have ever had! My first experience with acupuncture was the result of being diagnosed with RSD, a symptom affecting the nerves in my legs that my neurologist advised 'may' be fixed with a nerve block procedure. While visiting my dentist and telling her what I have been going through, she recommended I talk to her husband, Reza Tafazoli of Irvine Acupuncture. After a professionally handled initial consultation, I began treatments.

Within 3 months of beginning those treatments, my nerve pain went away and has not returned over a year later. An added bonus was that I also had Reza assist with treatment to quit smoking and I have not had any desire to smoke since August 2011, when I had my treatment. Reza is caring and immediately puts you at ease. The facility is clean and relaxing.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Reza and Irvine Acupuncture. I have personally experienced the benefits of acupuncture and acupuncture will permanently be my alternative path to traditional medical treatment.
