Points of Wellness is a Japanese style acupuncture center founded by Sharin Lee Cerniglia, AP, Dipl. Ac., DOM, L.Ac. Located in Safety Harbor, we are conveniently near Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Oldsmar, and Tarpon Springs. That's a tough question because at Points of Wellness we treat the whole body. As such, we end up treating not only issues that might prompt you to contact us initially, but also other secondary ailments that are resulting from imbalances in the body. You are not alone. Many people do not like the thought of needles.

Our Acupuncture Physician, Sharin Lee, is also a Nationally Board Certified Diplomat in Acupuncture that specializes in Japanese Style Acupuncture. Sharin Lee is one of the very few Acupuncture Physicians in the area that practices Japanese Style non-insertive pediatric acupuncture, Shonishin. We use the latest technology in energy balancing with the Acugraph Digital Meridian Imaging (DMI) system to diagnose and treat each patient.
Cupping is one of the world's oldest medical treatments. It quickly relieves sore and stiff muscles and joints and it also improves circulation. A plastic cup is attached to the skin and a vacuum is created inside the cup. The vacuum exerts a slight pull on the skin and underlying tissue which relieves pain, relaxes the body and improves circulation.
Your Acupuncture Physician will thoroughly go over your health history and ask many questions in order to obtain an individual diagnosis for your imbalances. Your treatment will begin with your acupuncture physician taking your pulse then palpating your abdomen in order to assess the overall state of your constitution and diagnose your dis-harmonies.
Collectively the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institutes for Heath (NIH) have defined what ailments acupuncture and oriental medicine can definitely treat. Acupuncture is recognized and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Health (NIH). See below for the acupuncture statement from the National Institute of Health.
