I am one who doesn't get immediate total relief but Dr. Liu was indeed a miracle worker for me and the only acupuncturist who has ever helped me. I had a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder and doctors recommended surgery saying it would not get better. I saw Dr Liu 3 times and didn't think he helped but my shoulder pain went away and has not come back and my range of motion was back to normal. So, when I got another torn rotator cuff in the other shoulder I went back to Dr. Liu and in 3 visits he had fixed that problem as well. I don't understand it but it works! I only wish he lived in the East Valley since I drive over from Fountain Hills plus he has cut back on his hours.

I personally did not have a good experience. He purposefully inflicted pain on my joints when I told him that I had arthritis. To which he responded "you're too young". Keep in mind I have an autoimmune condition and this is common for someone my age. He also left the door to my room open while I was being treated and so I was somewhat exposed and could hear everyone's conversation coming into the office.
I also believe he hit a nerve that caused me an immense amount of discomfort for about three weeks following. I don't have much experience with acupuncture to compare this to but I feel that this was not professional. I will also say that my insurance covers acupuncture and when I asked about it he said he would charge me $75 for the first visit and then address the insurance later. I have not heard back about my $75. Maybe my experience was just an off one but I was pretty traumatized leaving this office.

I went to Dr Liu a few weeks ago for a recurring sinus headache. Dr. Liu immediately recognized that I actually was suffering from tension headaches caused by extreme tightness and stress in my shoulders and neck. After one treatment, I felt immediate relief. After a series of 5 sessions, I feel amazing. I have recommended Dr Liu to friends and will continue to do so.
