My mom began practicing yoga while she was pregnant with me. Throughout my childhood, she practiced and taught yoga in our living room. My father, an avid meditator and scholar, has consistently shared his spiritual experiences and insights with me. My parents continue to support, guide, and inspire me on my yogic journey, as do my many teachers.

I cannot say enough good things about yoga oasis. I LoVE all the teachers! They are extremely knowledgeable not only in yoga but functional, safe planes of movement in the body. I've made so many new friends and genuinely feel like yoga oasis is this magic place where you truly feel a part of Tucson's community. Absolutely check them out.

I'd recommend yo to anyone and everyone. Nothing but pure hearts in this joint. From the aura within it's walls, down to the way the air smells, yo hits every mark. I don't quite feel cleansed or relaxed in other places, this yoga studio encompasses all that I need in my practice to feel whole.

Great environment and culture here. A rare studio that still utilizes Ohms before and sometimes after class. Maggie's sound bowls during shavasana will reset your entire day and have you feeling so refreshed. The monthly plan is the best bang for you buck in Tucson

What can I say except that one of the reasons to come to Tucson is to practice at the yoga oasis. I look forward to seeing everyone in person again and basking in the best ever studio in Tucson.

I didn't know that I could love Yoga Oasis MORE until our current pandemic. They have risen to the occasion to support their students in so many ways and I am grateful. I was doing their online pre-recorded offerings, then live Instagram classes. The carefully chosen words from the teachers have really been a gift while stuck at home. A recent surprise has been outdoor, socially distanced practice behind the central studio.

If you get the spot right under the blooming Palo Verde you'll notice humming birds and dragon flies right before shavasana. Truly! I actually love how the cicadas chorus right at the end of class, and the mat feels perfect for rest. It's not too hot! Strangely, it's really not. Thank you for showing up for this community, Yoga Oasis. Please stay!

I went to the 7:15pm yoga hour and this was my first time trying yoga. I think this was a little too advanced for me, but I tried my best to keep up with the class. The class instructor was experienced and she had a good rhythmic transition from pose to pose. So if you are experienced with the yoga pose positions called out this class is for you.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful experience this was! Shouts out to Marcia for being an awesome instructor! I went with my mom and she was a little nervous to do this since she is very new to yoga. Marcia was conscientious and sweet and helped her out every step of the way. The class was super well rounded and I appreciate Marcia's patience and kindness throughout. We will be back soon!

Really mixed feelings about this place. It's friendly, I live nearby and I have been going here on and off for about 5+ years. I re-injured my knee in the yoga hour class. I have been doing yoga for over 20 years, and it's not just this place, yoga has changed. It's become like mindless synchronized gymnastics, not what I learned to do years ago.

Which was focused on patience and awareness and slow progress. Now it seems like a competitive sport. I do like the basics classes because they focus on mindful awareness of what you are doing with your body. But I wish this focus extended to yoga hour. But the yoga hour is a "pack 'em in" class with 40-50 people stacked mat to mat. There is no way an instructor can check with everyone as we go through the poses.

Face it. Its a money maker, and giving people what they want. I'm torn always about going to this class, because it helps my practice to be at a class instead of practicing solo. It's close to my house. But I feel when I'm there that I'm swimming against the current. I wish there were more of the mindful classes like basics and expanding type classes offered.

I was very disappointed. I attended the Introduction to Yoga class, expecting it to be for beginners, as it was advertised. The woman running the class offered no instruction. She told me just watch what everyone does. It turned out that everyone else in the class had been going regularly, in some cases for several years. So, all of the transitions from pose to pose were called out in rapid-fire succession.

Instead of being for beginners, this class was obviously being run for people who were experienced in yoga. I wondered why those experienced in yoga would attend an "Introduction to Yoga" class regularly. Then it became apparent. This class is the least expensive one that they offer, so people kept attending it to be cheap. So, it is kind of a scam.

I'm sure it was a decent class for those who were experienced, but was a rip-off for a beginner, because there was no instruction whatsoever. I expected more than, "just watch what everyone else is doing" as instruction. She was really impressed with her own knowledge, but seemed as if she was more interested in impressing us with her knowledge than sharing it in a constructive way.

At one point, I was so frustrated that I struck one of the poses in such an incorrect way that it should have been obvious to anyone who really was interested in teaching - hoping that she would at least take the opportunity to show me how to do it correctly. Never happened. It felt like a scene from a Chevy Chase movie. Not just poor instruction, I also think that it was irresponsible.

Any exercise that includes bearing of body weight, and stretching of muscles can be physically damaging if it is not done correctly. An instructor-led class for beginners should concentrate on technique and form to make sure that people don't hurt themselves.

The space is beautiful, the instructors are knowledgeable and sweet, the price is awesome and I love the gently warm temperatures in the studios. However, the way the instrucors give context for the class or a goal for the class at the beginning by talking about a struggle they've overcome in their lives recently and their thoughts on it seems to always take me out of a peaceful place and presence my anxieties and problems, which I think is the opposite of their intent.

I also cannot stand when the instructors say "please" before giving an instruction. It feels disengenuous and condescending to me - I paid to have you tell me what poses to take and how and I either will or won't - the politeness feels fake and unneeded. It takes me out a little each time and it happens hundreds of times per class. Becuase of these, I vastly prefer other studios. But it's otherwise lovely and might be the perfect place for you.

I go to yoga Oasis regularly and greatly appreciate the yoga hours. We did a New year's Eve class with Barb. It was packed and everyone was in a great mood. Great class with some tough core work and a few arm balances thrown in. The arm balances were practiced on your back first which is a great way to be ready for the actual arm balance. Great studio and great instructors highly recommended!

Yoga Oasis is a beautiful environment. The whole space looks as if the owners really care about creating a warm atmosphere. My husband and I went to a crowded Wednesday morning class the day after Christmas. The room was hot and the instruction was good. They had plenty of props and mats if needed and the price I quite reasonable.

Yoga Oasis is great for everyone from a beginner to experienced. It's affordable, they've got yoga mats and all the necessary props you might need. Obviously, bring your own mat if you own one. Arrive early, classes fill up. Overall, I think YO is a wonderful studio.it just gets too packed. If you don't mind closer quarters, try them out.

Amazing place for yoga. Teachers are excellent. I attended two classes one with Ashley and with Sam. Extremely good and such a great place to get positive vibes and it's entirely different world. I love yoga and they just will make you fall in love with yoga even if you don't. Arrive few minutes before the class and $5 for an hour yoga which is pretty amazing. They have yoga mats and props but if you have one carry your yoga mat, water bottle. You won't regret visiting yoga oasis. I love yoga oasis.

I love this studio, great classes affordable prices, and an atmosphere that really helps you forget the worries of the day. They need to open a location on the northwest side of town! I have to drive too far for yoga so I dont do it as often as I would if there were a location in Marana.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I love love love this place and could go there every single day. I love everything from the smells, to the people, to the energy. Tones of diversity. Very cool, knowledgable teachers. I particularly enjoy YogaHour+meditate and Mediation. Mike is a great instructor in both yoga and meditation. If you're looking for a yoga class with out added mediation, I'd recommend Alexandra. She's funny and makes my practice super enjoyable!

Very inviting! Friendly staff, and knowledgeable! The intro class is a challenge for beginners, but it is doable even by those whom have never taken a class. $7.00 a class is very affordable on pretty much on any budget!

I'm pretty new to the Tucson yoga scene, and was worried about finding a studio where a beginner would fit in. My first visit to Yoga Oasis was pretty easygoing.the gal signing people in at the front desk made sure the instructor knew I was new to the studio, and was very helpful with questions. I've taken classes from at least 3 different instructors (all female so far) and they all have very different styles. No one's been bad, just different :) Happy to have found a friendly, non-pretentious place so close to my house!

I love love love Yoga Oasis! I love supporting this Yoga studio and inviting my friends to experience a great Yoga Sesh! All the teachers are wonderful and each of those teachers brings something unique to the class. Can't say enough great things about them! Plus, they're the most affordable Yoga studios around with quality teachers.

I am so grateful that this Yoga Oasis location wasn't far from the hotel I was staying at for a girls weekend recently, and that one of my girls was wanting a yoga class to start our Sunday off right. Thanks to Dede S for motivating and joining me for Kanoe's 9am Community Class! Luckily we arrived early as the class filled up quickly! We paid our $5 (yes, only $5 which is amazing), had some time to fill out our paperwork and get set up and both really enjoyed the class. Kanoe's verbal queues were really strong and while I typically like more of a flow class, this class was just what we needed!

The staff and community at this studio were welcoming and friendly and we were very comfortable here. The one thing I didn't love is that I'm not positive they clean the mats after each use (and unfortunately we forgot to bring our own mats). That being said, you can't beat the price and Yoga Oasis has a fabulous reputation. I definitely would not hesitate to return to this or other YO locations on future visits to Tucson!

Went to my first class last night and had a blast! I had only done yoga a couple times before & everyone in the class was very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this place, plus classes are uber affordable.

Tried a yoga class with my daughter and her boyfriend. He had never done yoga before and genuinely tried his best. The instructor was unfriendly from the time we walked in and told her this was our first class even though the website said "beginners welcome". She said she would show modifications for us. She stood the entire class and did not show any modifications.

She then proceeded to make a joke about "the dude in the class". After class she continued to mock his form without offering anything constructive. If the class does not welcome beginners they should correct the website. She could have even recommended a more appropriate class for him but she did not, she just told him "his stance was just weird" as she imitated it in a mocking way and laughed.

I do not recommend this particular instructor. I wish I knew her name but I don't remember it. She teaches the Wednesday night yoga hour. This is not the class to take unless being made fun of for trying helps you find your zen.

I visited both Tucson and Phoenix and found huge prices differences in the yoga studios! Tucson is so much more affordable with tons of yoga hour and community classes. I joined 25+ people in a small and cozy room for a 6 or 6:30am morning $5 yoga class. Everyone was very nice, moved their mats for everyone else, and there were people of all levels. However, most people were rather fit.

There is a mix of men and women, young and old. The class was pretty challenging as well - I forget the instructor's name but it was a male. The studio is small but clean and they offer mats to borrow as well as all the props you need. The only downside is that the windows face the street so once traffic starts, the light from the cars becomes a distraction.

My fiance and I were in Tucson over Veterans Day weekend and I thought it would be nice to take an early morning yoga class. The studio is adorable it has a really nice vibe about it. The woman teaching the class check me in and explain to me what type of class it was. I would compare it to like a level 1-2 flow. They moved pretty quickly but I was able to keep up. Prices were amazing. If I lived in Tucson I would definitely be a regular here at this studio.

I've been going to Yoga Oasis, on and off, over the course of the last few years. This place has been very special for me. I started off in the "basics" class on a Friday (discounted to $5 at the evening course), and felt cared for by the instructor because she gave students, especially the first timers or beginners, some amazingly helpful tips and corrected our forms.

After the first few weeks of doing beginner, intro, and some yoga hour classes, I felt more confident about practicing yoga, recognizing more and more of the yoga forms. Yoga Oasis focuses on Hatha yoga, which emphasizes the practice of repetition of various forms and breathing. Yoga oasis is by far the best yoga center that I've gone to, because the instructors genuinely care, and they give amazing instructions on how to achieve correct forms. Also, yoga hour rates are $5 per class; it is an instructor-led class, although there are slightly less individual attention given to the students compared to other classes such as intro and beginner classes.

They also have special sessions; I attended a class focused on scoliosis that lasted a day - that was super helpful on fixing postures for people with scoliosis (like me). You're sure to break a sweat when you go into a Yoga Oasis class. I was so inflexible in the past that I couldn't even reach my toes before yoga, but now I can go much beyond.

I moved away from Tucson in 2013 and I have YET to find a yoga studio as amazing as Yoga Oasis. Absolutely nothing compares to it! Yoga Oasis truly is a yoga oasis. I think about my practice there after every single class that I take at other studios and nothing seems to compare! The instructors are unbelievably amazing and caring. I miss Yoga Oasis literally every single day, this place impacted my life in such a positive way. It has ruined every other yoga studio I go to because no one compares. If you're in the area, you absolutely must go! Namaste

The Yoga Oasis studios are as good as it gets. It's almost unheard of to find a yoga studio that offers an hour of rocking flow for only $5, but the "Yoga Hour" classes do just that. For the cost of a drink at Starbucks, even students and those on a budget can treat themselves to the benefits of a regular practice. The studios are always very clean and have a welcoming, relaxing vibe.

All of the instructors are top notch, but Darren is hands down one of the best in the state. He has a gift for communicating easy to follow alignment instructions, which makes his class ideal for beginners and advanced students alike. Tips: -If you don't have a class pass, you'll need cash or else be charged an extra $1 for credit card transactions.

Exact change is a plus! -Mats, blocks, and straps are available for anyone who needs to borrow them. -They offer a punch card for those who ride their bike to the studio. If you ride to ten classes, you get one free! (Especially helpful, since parking can be limited) -Plan to get there 10-15 minutes early, the popular classes tend to fill up fast. -You will most likely sweat in Yoga Hour, which is a continuous hour of practice, so bring water! A towel for wiping your face is also nice.
